Um, look at Earth...

Um guys, I don't wanna ruin your happiness, but we've seen that artwork before - its some rendering from earlier in development of a Starfleet station - I don't think we ever saw it ingame.

Besides, that doesn't look like Earth down there.

they are updating the look of ESD. the interior is on tribble, the hologram of the station (the exact look on the launcher) is shown in the interior and they have said numerous times they plan to change ESD to look more like what is seen on screen.

That's Geenland to the far left, then Iceland. The base of the station it sitting on top of the UK.

Just grab your mapping website of choice.

I KNOW they're updating ESD, but that is OLD artwork. I immediately recognized the image.

And the coloring, lighting, and such still looks wrong for Earth, unless they're changing that too.

That's what my guess is. That's why I pointed it out. I think they redid the entire system. It looks more like a NASA photo.

so they are using an old artwork image for the launcher. the station will more than likely look exactly like that design.

I don't know why you'd think that. They wouldn't have needed to design a new exterior if they were just gonna use that one, since it was done ages ago.

I didn't even say it looks bad, it looks like a pretty good replication of the Movie-style ESD. But that screenshot has been around, and its certainly not "WOW that's awesome"

If that ended up being the new ESD, It would be fine, but I am guessing the one we get will have a little more "awesome" mixed in.

I hope they did re-texture Earth. It really needed it.
