It's better then playing a game that hardly ever gets updates of any sort, like lots of FPS games I used to play... lol There you almost NEVER erver see a Patch or Update, let alone an announcement about one. So, just live with it and enjoy it when it comes out, cause this wont be the last time in the near future that this game will get a facelift or more and better content.

just have a look at the patch notes

http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...91#post3321591

theres a LOT of changes there- it will take time.

save yourself more time by connecting to tribble and downloading the bulk of the patch from there. that way, the majority of the files will copy over to holodeck when its back up

This is a joke 7 hour down time during the day !
the servers should be split to usa/europe so people in europe are not effected by updates/patches/maintence

Failing that i think every european player should be given an extra day playing time to compensate them for loosing out on playing time during the day !

But worst of all, NO DELTA FLYER! or Delta flyer details!

Everytime I open up the log-in window I'm hoping the oldschool EDS image will be replaced with a Delta flyer one, such is my eagerness.

Hey! I could moan, but I'm at work so the downtime or its length doesn't affect me. If this was a weekend I would be disgruntled though. Missing the actual anniversary; I joined in September so it doesn't bother me. They've blocked out a week of celebrations so one day late won't hurt. The Delta Flyer is cool and all and I have my C-store points ready, but I count how many times I've flown my runabout so yeah, new ship is cool but not having it doesn't and hasn't stopped me from playing the game.
Details as follows, Pulled it from another thread

- Costs 400 Atari Tokens (Cryptic Points)
- Comes with a cosmetic pet Delta Flyer to use with your other ships but no shuttles
- 1 ensign science, 1 ensign universal, 1 of each console slots
- 5 crew
- 2 forward weapon slots, 0 aft weapon slots
- Does have the ability to slot 360 degree beam arrays.

Hope this helps

All your lives must really suck very hard...

Noticed the absense of devs in the last few days? They probably worked their asses off to get everything working for today. So man up and stop whinning.

WHOA!

As a European player I would prefer never to see a USA/European split. Most of my fleet members are in the US. While I like PvE and PvP a good portion of my play time is socialising with my fleet or doing STFs

If a server split happened I would have to find/create a new fleet and lose a good portion of the (online) friends I've made and that would seriously dent my gaming experience too the point of killing it.

I can live a 7 hour down time. I'm at work and its not on the weekend. I would struggle to live with a server split.
