You'd rather have Snix keep this games hour long PVP matches? Screw whatever idea you have for PVP; I'm tired of pvp matches being so long that I actually cannot stay for the match... not all of us can stay glued to a computer for an hour at a time for ONE ARENA.

RSP Builds, ROFL, many cruisers had one copy of that anyway because it was still a viable skill. But if escorts are dropping EPTS II for RSP I, they might want to do the math conserning the EPTS power and its "changes"....

I disagree, the battles are far faster than they should be. Its more Star Wars not than Star Trek, which Star Trek fights were long and caculating, not pew pew BOOM every second.

Snix should've adjusted Ability Stacking and Team Heals, not Shields.

alot of star trek battles were over realyl fast. all little nothign skirmishes ended instantly with one volley from a bop/rommie wbird. alot of fed ships got instant pwned by ram speed too. :/ Trek fights always came down to tactical superiority, making the right move at the right time, and making it count. Not a infinite healfest/tankfest 10 hours ordeal, this isnt civil war ironclads, this is space combat. i think the new changes are fine, a step in the right direction

Watch any of the Dominion War battles (Sacrifice of the Angels is a great example). Things go pop FAST.

See everyone loves to Quote DS9, but show me fast battles in TOS, TNG, and Voyager (outside of the Prometheus episode).

even some battles in DS9 lasted long, particularly when 'hero' ships were involved.

some examples

season 3 episodes
Defiant: Defiant vs Cardy Warship
Die is Cast: defiant vs multiple jem hadar

Season 4
Way of the warrior part 2: Defiant Vs Klingon ships, without shields
Shattered Mirror: Defiant vs Klingon Mirror universe ships

Season 6:
Tears of the prophets: Defiant vs Weapon platforms.

more often than not we saw survival.

Most (if not all) of TOS, TNG, and Voyager's battles involved Hero ships and their Godmodes. Only DS9 showed large amount of "regulars."

Who really cares what happened in ANY of the episodes. This is a Star Trek Video Game. As a game it needs to be fun involving and Cryptic would I hope like it to be addictive. Sorry but hour long tank fests are NOT fun NOT involving and NOT addictive. We could argue all day about how fast a "Star Trek" battle should or should not be... the Star Trek writers fit the battles in their scripts to forward their story arcs., some needed to be fast some where indeed long. They are also all irrelevant to the state of STO PvP play, get over the SW ST comparisons.

EXACTLY, it is a Star Trek game. It's about Tall Ship Battles, not starfighter combat. Even Cryptic prided itself in advertising it as such.

But the new adjustments to PVP does not go along with the Tall Ship Battles anymore, the only ones who enjoy it are you hardcore PVPers who like a fast kill. And it's part of the reason why there are so many PvPers now. Even today, it took 30 minutes for a C&H Match to start up, which is at an all time low.



People paid to play STO for it being Star Trek and Cryptic needs to honor that commitment or this game is going to die.
