The SBO is an established 8-year-old Fleet of friends dedicated to a few key ideals.
1st- friendship
2nd- having fun
3rd- teaching and learning in game to improve player skill and enjoying end-game content
We are a casual fleet with some hardcore gamers mixed in as well. We neither discourage nor pressure RP, but do have an enjoyable setup of ranks, wings, and awards we've used over the years in various games.
Our members consist of mature players from age 18-60 including married couples, students, and professionals.
All we ask of our members is to play nice in sandbox with each other and no one gets hurt. But we will not tolerate disrespectful behavior among our members.
We have not been actively recruiting over the past year and our numbers reflect that fact. But we do have some members who have been playing since day 1 of STO and are still playing strong. We have members from all around the world, so we are not worried about time zone issues.
Starfleet Black Ops has been together for around 8 years and started out as an active fleet playing many successful campains against other fleets on Starfleet Command III. Regarding STO, we've been playing since the Beta with around 20 alumni members, but recently those numbers have dipped.
We're all older players who love Trek and do a modest amount of Fleet Role Playing on our forums outside the game. We spend a lot of time hanging out on Ventrillo chatting it up and have been waiting for STO patiently since the Starfleet Command III days where we used to run as a fleet on every campaign we could get our hands on.
