IDK if cryptic has seen this but if your and fan of STO or a dev you should what this clip it has some really awesome ideas and things that could improve STO in nearly everything Take a Look Go to Youtube and Watch

Absolutely W-O-W!!! Just by adding different soundfiles. the whole game feels different...actually very treky. I totally like it!

So how do you have the correct voice for the specific action?

If I have an alien chief engineer who speaks with a strange dialect and grunts a lot, it would sound very odd if he suddenly spoke like a human female.

HOT DOG...where is this game..let me buy a lifetime sub to it !!! yes yes I know it is not real but damn I would so love that feeling in a game.........just make sure you can disable it for those who dun like it....

I do remember seeing a "voice" option on the customization screen for BOFF's awhile back. I think that something like this is a long-term goal.

well if they did voice overs they they would need to make at least 3 for each species and both male and female ones (so that would be 6 total ) Aliens on the other hand would need alot more

as for the foundry all they would need to do is use the voice system from microsoft sam in implement inside sto to carry a Actors voice tones and from their u could have it where players can make their own characters for missions have the right voice for the right type a character u need

nice to see some old faces here. i thought the movie was great. i'd definitely go for some sound track music in the game, at least. some voice talent from the movies would be cool too. heck they got leonard nemoy!
