# 1 Anniversary items - bugged?
02-05-2011, 11:58 PM
Ive got a question about the items from the daily quest from Mr. Q.
Are they random or can you get better items than someone else somehow.

As for now iam only getting exactly one item with very low value.

Mostly those are small power cells, hypos or tribbles.

As i read in the chat many players get Very rare mk 10-12 items so it seems.

Every time I click loot all i only get those low value items and the quest is over.

Exactly one time i thought i get a rare item as was stated in the loot window.
But after clicking loot all, i got only junk.

Thank you for your replies.

# 2 Seems to be an exploit

After further reading the chat channels this seems to be an exploit done by many players.

Some of them said that if you take only one or two items from the fountain you can play again -
but another player gets the third - useless - item.

just for you to know ive got the rules table:

# 4 Anniversary items - exploited?
02-06-2011, 01:51 AM
http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=200576

To get more attention for this exploit i added this thread.

Iam constantly getting mark one to eight garbage items and i think thats the junk of other players exloits.

Every item they do not take goes to the exploited players.

When someone gets mark 2 items that means another low level player exploited on you.

i have five ! maxed out characters and did not get a single mark ten or above item today.

Normally that would not be a problem but i cannot ignore the fact that the exploiters get overly rich over the exploited players.

Any official statement on this?

Thank you for your replies.

This has gone on for days, why hasn't any Dev commented on this issue, this is sickening that they allow this kind of bullying in-game.

I believe the OP can get a warning for spamming? Only need one post so maybe delete one of threads.

proof of this would be needed. The basic who, what, where, and how would need to be filled in. Saying someone is Intentionally exploiting something without any proof is hard to enforce.

Iam not the only one having this problem

The quests intention was that once every day you would get a random item representing your rank as an anniversary gift.

So a vice admiral would get a blue mk 11 armor for example as well olther low value stuff.

The problem is that if you just loot the good stuff - yes there is a way to do so - you can play again and again and every other player gets your trash.

All of my five maxed out characters got mk 2 green engines, mk 4 green phaser, loads of tribbles and hypos.

Solution:

Playing in the fountain yields a single rare or very rare - rank appropriate - item.
The item should be in no relation to another player.

And for those that still exploit:

it seems they even allow it out of game.

The proof lies in the chat window.
Where many players are complaining about this.

i wouldn't have brought the problem up if i haven't read from the exploiters in the chat.
