# 1 Cryptic- Dual Subscription
02-06-2011, 07:43 AM
As a long time STO player and a new CO player, I got to thinking. What Cryptic needs is a dual subscription for its games.

A very simple system:

Each monthly: $14.95 / month
Optional Dual Subscription: $20 or $25/month
Extension: $5 or $10/month

Lifetime: $299
Dual Lifetime: $399
Lifetime Extensions: $100

Therefore the dual subscription gives access to STO and gold access to CO. A nice way to boost income.

I, personally, want to buy a subscription to CO, but don;t know if I can afford to since I have spent so much on STO. So, this would allow me a discount as I am already a Cryptic subscriber.

What are everyone else's thoughts?

This is an excellent idea. The $100 price point is an excellent incentive to drag in STO Lifers.

Only problem will be the people who've already bought both Lifetimes. They could always get an extra Token stipend based on how recently they went lifetime.

That is true. A stipend and perhaps some bonuses would be good. Thanks for the input

I strongly /support this idea. CO is indeed a fun MMO, and since we're already STO players paying our dues, shouldnt we get some sort of slight discount for paying for CO too?

I support this. It would totally be worth my cash for 2 lifetimes.

ya know...id prob do the same. dont like CO that much (tried the free trial) but for a life sub at that price i would really look into that.

but given that some people did by both life subs at a higher price point, i would imagine some serious outcry if this were to happen. not saying i would be against them expressing their view, they paid for it after all.

if it happens, so be it. id look at getting it. if not. no loss.

I paid for a year. If I invest in a lifetime I'm automatically ripped off by the amount that I paid for a year.

I wouldn't expect to see it until they release Neverwinter, if at all.

Sony's station access was certainly a good value (if you can consider paying for a Sony game a positive at all, I guess)

You're right, that people would be angry. Give those that had an LTS from before F2P something special, just for them. You know, like the Captain's Table was supposed to be for us until a bunch of people freaked out cuz we got a room?
