Q: picardalpha2clearance: Is there a chance we could have a Bridge Officer only Transfer/Exchange?

A: Yes. We are discussing adding a officer requisition "exchange" that would allow players to list officers they would like to put up for trade to other starship captains. The goal being that this list would also show what skills they've learned and make it much easier to trade Bridge Officers. This may be incorporated into the new Duty Officer system, or it may be its own system. That is still TBD, but on the table. Look for this as early as Season 4 release, but it might be Season 5. (and sorry that I can't answer every question you might have.)

I gave a detailed description on how my idea for this exchange could be amazing!
Thanks Dan! for trying and noticing! I appreciate it!

Q: HyenaZERO: Are there any plans to revisit and perhaps adjust the effectiveness of the Galaxy-X BFG?

A: Al and I were talking about this the other day. When the Galaxy Dreadnaught was released, it was the big boy on the block, but now that a lot of other ships have come out, it is not as special as it used to be. We are investigating options and you could see us make a change as we understand the concerns.

Definitely gave me a little hope! I sure do miss that ship. Sort of makes me wonder why the siege destroyer and dreadnaught cruiser are the most expensive c-store items, but subpar in performace versus the rest of the fleets....

But thanks Dstahl I can't wait to see what the team figures out.

Q: Jas-: Will transphasic torpedoes be getting an overhaul or adjustment? Many players feel they are severly underpowered.

A:Balancing a complex combat system is tricky, and we agree that many torpedo powers could use adjustment. Before we can effectively do that, we need to address some bigger balance issues in the game such as healing. You can look forward to us making a big pass on all torpedoes once we get some of our bigger combat balance changes into the game.
Thanks Dan for choosing one of my questions to answer.

i am still a strong proponent for crafting in ship interiors, using memory alpha and stations as supply and crew facilities, used for drop of and pick up/buying and trading

I agree the Galaxy-X needs an upgrade (even though I don't typically fly one). I do have the ship and have used it.

# 58 My ATI Graphics Issue Answer
02-11-2011, 12:29 AM
Big thank you's to Dan and Dave, for understanding how a few of us have been getting a little hot under the collar about the ATI Graphic Issue in the forums.

Dave and yourself have made it easy for us to understand and have made us aware how important this is for you to fix it in the future and how technical this is for you to resolve.

I for one am happy to be a point of contact in the future, if you ever need more hands on deck to investigate this issue in more depth when needed.

Thanks again for your time to answer our question this month...

That's an uphill argument with the community. But if I were to approach that, I'd probably look at an extremely charismatic Vulcan bridging the gap and achieving reunification and it would be the Remans who join the KDF. There's simply too much bad blood between Rommies and Klingons at this point and Remans fit that aesthetic better. But a huge change like that is exactly the kind of thing that warrants blowing the budget if you want people to accept it. It would take something nutty like Tuvok personally fulfilling Spock's dream of reunification or something. Or Sela having a change of heart, reconnecting with her mother somehow, and sacrificing herself to make it happen.
I think this is an instane, whereby if we go that way, I favour borrowing heavily from Soft Cannon.

Spoilers after the gap

During the Titan series of books Captain Riker and his crew are part of an early relief effort post Shinzon (pre Hobus) and end up inadvertently working with the Romulans in some rather unusual circumstances. Now the interesting part comes in that the Remans are feeling a little subjugated (huge shock I know!) and the Titan's Klingon escort take the Remans in as a protectorate of the Empire, establishing a colony on one of the Romulan worlds.

Now it's far from Canon canon, but it's certainly one way to look at things, and one I'd certainly be keen to see played out if we were to go this way for the Romulan faction at all.
