Please Cryptic, throw us a bone. Make this FREE. No C-store. It's a free ship already. I don't really like the idea that it may end up in the C-Store.
IMO all older ships that are currently abilityless should be given free abilities. Especially Cryptic-designed ones which personally I think fit perfectly (seriously, I like 'em and don't understand the hate) but some people are too caught up in Nostalgia to use them. A free ability on those ones especially would really up their popularity.
Well since this is a "console" based ability why not just throw them in the emblem store for the same prices as a normal console or maybe a 5% increase?
Honestly, if it does go on the C-Store it doesn't really matter because Dan said he wants all C-Store items to be available in game so we can expect it to be in the game as well.
This would actually make a good item to craft, like the AEGIS set.

It does matter because the cost for these items in game is designed to be prohibitively expensive. They're ridiculously expensive. You have to do like hundreds of hours of repetitive dailies to get one. XP

That's for ships. This is a console. There is a HUGE difference between the two. Its safe to say that both the C-Store item and the in-game version will be much cheaper than a ship.
It really doesn't matter to me either way. I would actually like to see it as a craft-able item though.
I might actually make it a reward for a mission, perhaps the end of the romulan weekly set....
Best not to have rewards (especially one for the culmination of a series) that could only possibly benefit an Escort captain, and a single ship to boot.

I wouldn't even remotely say it's a safe bet considering that the devs had to do major work on the Prometheus variants, to get it to work. It's still a retrofit, it just comes in item form.
