Over the last several months we have done an “ok” job of ensuring that new ships we release can be earned either through Level 51 Emblems, or through Level 41 Marks. Yet, there have been some ships that have slipped through the cracks and I’m here to announce that we’ll be making some improvements on this front.

In an upcoming update we will be making some currency changes to the following MT ships. To dispel rumors and cut down on confusion, here’s the details.

Special Shuttlecraft / Fighters – 400 Atari Tokens or Craftable*
  • Delta Flyer
  • Upcoming Fighters (FED and KLG)

Lvl 41 Ships – 1200 Atari Tokens or 500 Marks
  • Nebula Class - Advanced Research Vessel (was previously 200 marks)
  • Excelsior Class - Advanced Heavy Cruiser (was previously not available for marks)
  • Vulcan D’Kyr Science Vessel (includes free token to claim an exclusive flyable Vulcan Shuttlecraft)

Lvl 51 Retrofits – 1200 Atari Tokens or 500 Emblems or Level 51 Free Token
  • Galaxy Exploration Cruiser
  • Intrepid Long Range Science Vessel
  • Defiant Tactical Escort
  • B’rel Bird-of-Prey
  • Varanus Fleet Support Vessel
  • Marauder Patrol Cruiser
  • Kar’Fi Battle Carrier

Lvl 41 KLG Special - 2000 Atari Tokens or 830 Emblems
  • Guramba Siege Destroyer

Lvl 41 FED Special – 2000 Atari Tokens or Refer 5 Friends Reward
  • Galaxy Dreadnaught Cruiser

The following Replica ships remain Atari Tokens only at this time (but that may change in a future update)

Replica Ships – 800 Atari Tokens
  • NX Class
  • TOS Constitution

* The ability to craft shuttlecraft and fighters will become available prior to the end of the “Cloaked Intention” series. Crafting these items will require completing daily crafting quests over numerous days.

NOTE: There is an in game vendor who will downgrade 1:1 - Lvl 51 Emblems to Lvl 41 Marks
Could someone please help me out here with a little information?

How many Emblems is it possible to obtain in one day? And If you can please give me an approximate time it would take to obtain all these Emblems.

Also if you please How many Marks of exploration can one person obtain in one day?

Thanks for you time

The Most amount of Emblems I've done in a day is 35. It was a pain. I lacked sleep. But it was worth it for what I'm doin.

I've got a chart on our internal wiki that has all these numbers. I can give some basic approximations based on memory.

19 is the average (and most efficient emblem to time investment) most people can earn in a few hours of gameplay if they are dedicated to the task. Most players will average 8 or so during their normal game sessions.

It is technically possible to earn more than 50 in a day - but it requires not sleeping.

Lvl 41 Ships – 500 Marks: Nebula Class - Excelsior Class - Vulcan D’Kyr Science Vessel

Average dedicated person @ 19 a day will obtain these ships in 26 days playing a few hours a day.
Most players @ 8 per day will obtain this ship in 63 days played.
Most extreme person who never plays can do it in 10 hehe.

Lvl 41 KLG Special - A massive 830 Emblems Guramba Siege Destroyer

Average dedicated person @ 19 a day will obtain these ships in 44 days playing a few hours a day.
Most players @ 8 per day will obtain this ship in 103 days played.
Most extreme person who never sleep can do it in 17 whhhew.

Now this is assuming that these players play 7 days a week straight until they get their ship.

I play 3-4 days a week with work and such. so lets say I am going for the Guramaba. which for some reason is 830 Marks.

If I sustain 4 days a week. and average 8 Marks a day. Thats about 25 weeks or about 175 days to get this ship. WOW!!! If I am dedicated at 19 per day. Thats 11 weeks or 77 days. A bit better but will be tough to sustain that all those days.

With the 500 Mark ships. I am looking at 15 weeks or about 110 days to get one of those. Or IF I really dig in. about 6 week or 45 days.

So lets just use the Guramba for example. and use the better the average 19 marks a day.

19 marks will take me 11 weeks. that is 3 months. @$15 a month subscription fees that will take me $45 of dedicating all my play time to obtain a ship that costs $15 in the c-store. If you where one of the average of 8 per day that Guramaba will cost you $105. The in game price for these ships are simply not worth it unless you are one of those players who play every day without sleep for the 50 marks a day.

Seems the c-store is still the best option for me. Thanks for the info. I found out what I was after. I wanted to know before I started the grind if it was worth the time that you had to invest. I now know that the in game option is just way to time consuming and actually costs you about 3 times as much to get your ship, more if your a very casual player. $15 or $20 is cheep for this ship compared to what is asked in game.

don't get me wrong i am thrilled we have an in game way to get ships, but the cost is just way to high right now for it to be worth the effort.

P.s. If you're reading this Mr. Stahl. A buddy of mine had raised 200 marks for his Nebula. He doesn't play often at all due to hectic work schedule so it took him A LOOONG time to save this up. He raised the 200 marks just yesterday. Only to find they are now 500. Can people who missed the increase by days be granted a ship still for 200? He saved for months. Now he is rather defeated thinking that his ship is now over twice the price. and take more then twice the time he has already spent.

Thanks for pointing out the maths. Saves me figuring out whether i'd ever want to grind emblems/marks for any of the ships i don't have but would like just in case i shake my toons up a bit. Hell will freeze over before i try and grind those amounts, so i will either just make do without or if it's an awesome ship i'd cave and C-Store it.

Which is exactly why the Emblem Cost is so high...

all depends on your play style. if you have the time to grind the 19 marks a day for 26 days straight to get a 500 mark ship. Then its worth it hehe. otherwise if its a ship you just have to fly then the c-store is your best option. since the free in game system is a little misleading as it actually is more expensive in the long run when you factor how much you spend in subscription fees while doing this grind.
