Or the Commodore PET, which also had an onboard cassette drive for some models (I'm pretty sure it was a PET). Don't forget to keep it Apple II and III compatible as well...

Still got one of those players. Had to meet up at the Customs Office and explain to them what the frakk I was up to, they had never seen a disc that size at the time, that was not an LP or something. :p

Laserdisc, the new brave and bold format destined to take over after the Video Home System!

Or not!!!

We didn't get a computer until I was in high school so I have no knowledge of anything before the 386 with Windows 3.11 on it. The only knowledge of DOS I have was installing shareware like Wolfenstein 3D and the 3 inch discs that came with some of the computer magazines. Our neighbor upgraded our computer with a faster modem (went from 14.4 to 28.8). The performance difference was great. I could download information for school projects so much faster on Prodigy and then print it out on our dot matrix printer.

Actually, just pulled out my Vectrex and popped in the Star Trek cartridge... Plays like a reasonable approximation of STO shipcombat, and Wizard of Wor for PVE ground pounding!
