# 1 Wolf 359 Fleet Action
02-13-2011, 12:49 AM
Let us revisit Wolf 359 as a Fleet action! Locutus of Borg is Commanding an assault and we must thwart it or earth may suffer assimilation! Like in "First Contact" the Borg are attempting to alter the outcome at Wolf 359.

Mission Brief: Captain, you must use the Suns gravitation to sling shot and go back in time to Wolf 359 on Stardate 43988.8 and help the Enterprise in recovering Captain Jean Luc Picard. You must neutralize the Cube long enough to allow the Enterprise to catch up. The Borg from this time are then destroying every ship we had at Wolf 359 you must destroy those ships and slow the Locutus Cube.

When you enter the Map the Cube is engaged with the fleet and 2 probes are assisting the cube. Your first Objective is to take out the probes and engage the Cube! The fleet will be mostly if not all destroyed so you must force the delay of the cube leaving the system!

Phase 1: Cube Health 100-75% Once you engage the Cube or the Probes the timer begins. During the match 3 Probes will spawn to help regenerate the Cube and 3 Spheres will protect and heal the probes. They will spawn every 3 minutes so you must work quick to remove them and work on the Cube.

Phase 2: 75-45% At this point the Cube will randomly fire assimilation charges at your ship rendering your ship "dead" in space for you must not let your ship be assimilated! One ship will be the target of the Assimilation Charges and while targeted your ship can not function and must be in a state of constant heal! If your ship is assimilated you will side with the Borg and not be able to target the Cube for 3 minutes.

Phase 3: 45-15% The assimilation charges continue and 3 probes and 3 spheres return as in phase one. During this phase though they spawn every 5 minutes.

Once the Cube reaches 15% a Tactical Cube will spawn and cover the retreat of the Locutus Cube. Dispatch the Tac Cube and complete the mission! The Enterprise D will be able to catch the Cube and restore Captain Jean Luc Picard thanks to your valiant efforts!

So what do you think?

Im thinking you need to follow a borg sphere back in time and stop it from changing the events of the past....

Wait a tick, this sounds familiar

Instead of Time Travel, why not just have it as a "Holodeck" recreation, when they implement Holodecks in-game?

I'd rather they fix the current fleet actions first. They stink.

Rather morbid to reenact such a horrific event, isn't it?

Well no different than on O'Brien and Bashir doing recreations of some famous battles, right?

Besides, Tragmire's idea seems simlar to my own idea in making a Gamma Orionis Fleet Action that I propsed months ago. But like said above, Cryptic really needs to revamp current fleet actions. They are dead (especially on the Klingon side).

People got their Emblems and fully geared in MK11 stuff now, and pretty much the Exchange is flooded with gear so the only thing to do Fleet Actions is for accolades.

This. Honestly fix all the broken/garbage fleet actions before adding new ones. Would be nice to actually complete one of them (besides SB 24) as i level a character.

Think of it as training against the borg. An un-winnable situation, that you must make the best of.
