# 1 New player seeking fleet
03-02-2011, 09:43 AM
Ok I am new to star-trek online, although I did play in the beta, It might seem weird to have requirements of the fleet but i do but first a little about me. I am 24 years old, and have been a member of a few guilds in other games. I even was the leader of one for awhile till i passed leadership off when moving away from the game.

I am looking for a guild that is mature and does not need me to get on teamspeak or ventrilo. Also I would prefer not to have to go to some site to register to join it. I times when im online can be erratic but when im on its usually 4-8 hours at a time or spaced out. I am still low level so you need to take that into account. Basically im looking for a fun community in game. But I am not interested in getting to serious in a guild this time around. I know they can take a lot of effort. Hence im looking for a more casual guild. Naturally activity would be good to. I tend to alternate when im on. Sometimes I am on of the day, sometimes of the night. /end super run on conversation.

P.S. immaturity is important but i do not care if there is a small amount of immaturity. After all we are all a little immature here and there.

Hello,

If your looking for a social fleet, we may be what you are looking for. We are a smaller, yet friendly group of people that just love to play the game with a no BS ranking structure or complex addons to the game.

We have a teamspeak server for our members as well as a website for communications as well.

I think that the Expendables have what you are looking for, we don't have a complicated ranking structure, its all based on what you want to do, if you want to be a member fine, officer fine you determine your role in the fleet. We run STF's pretty often, with one running tomorrow at 11am (CST)

We have a website which will be the best way to communicate and post your thoughts about events, our main focus is to have fun with no silly rules.

You can apply here: expd.guildlaunch.com but it is not necessary, if you want to join our fleet. Let us know and we can send you an invite.

Please feel free to PM me or to look at our website for more information.

I just wanted to take the time to let you know about Shadow Dragon Fleet. We offer 110% percent support to our members; We have a fully functioning website (www.shadowdragonfleet.webs.com) and a ventrilo server and we are an in game fleet with active members and a fleet bank and our own fleet channel in game. We buy are players any equipment they need and we have crafters that can craft anything, we offer training to all of our members (our academy is run by experienced gamers who have MMO experience and have real life tactical experience and also role play experience) We are casual, knowledgeable, dedicated, very friendly, willing to lend a hand and assist the player in any way possible and we have skilled players that participate in pve and pvp. Shadow Dragon Fleet is also allied with other powerful fleets. opportunities are given to those who work hard. We also have higher positions available so there is plenty of room for advancement, and we cover all aspects of the game.

If you have any questions about the fleet feel free to send me a message here, or you can contact me through our site.

Welcome to Star Trek Online!

Feel free to check out my fleet, The Clan Hunters, ClanHuntersHQ.com
You do not need to sign up on our forums, but I suggest you read our rules.
We do not expect anything from our members but to have fun when playing.

We are casual, laid back and a bit goofy now and then.

The fleet is international so there is always someone online.

We also have a fleet called the "House of Clan Hunters" on the Klingon side.

Join us on our chat channel by typing "/channel_join ClanH" in-game

You can get to know us, and let us know if you want an invite on that chat channel.

Hi Super86

I read through your entire post, and while the {UFP} does have a website that requires registration first, and it does have TeamSpeak 3 (although not in any way mandatory), I still believe our fleet may satisfy your requirements.
At {UFP} we try to appeal to both the hardcore and casual gamer. To do this we offer a variety of community facilities etc for those who want to use them, but for the more casual player, such as yourself, we make the minimum requirements as small as possible so you can spend your time getting on and just gaming.

So in order for you to evaluate if joining the {UFP} and therefore enjoying everything we have to offer in-game is worth the subsequent effort, I'll simply list the minimum requirements.
  1. Registration on our forums (application will be reviewed and accepted as soon as possible)
  2. Request in-game invite for all your STO characters (once accepted)
  3. Monthly roll call sign in at the beginning of the month (20 second job, and reminders are given to all through in-game PMs and the Fleet Message of the Day)

That's it.
While I understand at this point you might not want to do more than simply game, it's always better to have the choice of more if later you choose you want to be more involved. We're a stable fleet with almost 9 years running so we put in a lot of effort to make sure the community remains happy.

For more information visit www.ufplanets.com.

Kind Regards,

I am Vice Admiral Shrel of Andor and I send you this transmission on behalf of the 37th Defense Fleet.

Have you found yourself craving the company of like minded officers? Have you yet to find the fleet that can accommodate your talents in a helpful environment? Then let me tell you about the fleet that I am a member of, the 37th Defense Fleet.

We, the officers of the 37th Defense Fleet, knowing the evils that lurk in the many worlds of the galaxy form this fleet in response to that evil. We lay forth for all worlds to see the precepts upon which we stand.

We are the Burning Armada. We take our name for the mind set of our fleet officers, “Our actions will leave a blazing trail of righteousness across the heavens and that trail will teach our enemies to fear the light. If we die, we die knowing that the flames of our ships will inspire the desire of the next generation to continue on after us.”

We come together as one force among many to stand against the encroaching darkness and say unto it, "No more! We draw the line against the night here, bring on you thousands, one at a time, or all in a rush, it matters not, you shall not pass!" We are the 37th Defense Fleet, we raise high the banners of justice, honor, and freedom for all to see.

We of the 37th Defense Fleet are a family, brothers and sisters born of the same desire to serve a cause greater than ourselves. We are Human, Vulcan, Andorian, and countless other races, despite our differences we give our all to each other and help each other to improve each and every day in all ways. We form task groups to go forth and combat the growing evils that would threaten the United Federation of Planets. We do this to show the solidarity and loyalty that is at the very heart of the37th Defense Fleet.

We hold our selves to a higher standard. We are officers of the Federation, we hold the ideals of fair play, honor, justice, and freedom to be most dear. We stand as the last defense against the encroaching tides of darkness. We will protect our homes no matter the cost, for the Federation, for our peoples, for our homes, for the Burning Armada.

If this sounds like the fleet you have been looking for, then friend respond to this transmission, or to any member of the 37th Defense Fleet, and we will welcome you to our ranks.

[[We are now recruiting both new and experienced role players to join our fleet. We stay in character and use [[ ]] to denote out of character speech. We hold frequent role play events and are part of a role play alliance. We enjoy helping with missions, crafting, and STFs. If you would like to join a great group of role players here on STO then send me a message, or contact any member of the 37th Defense Fleet.]]

Hi there Super86,

If you are discerning about your fleet this is not a problem. It is more likely to mean that you are going to stick where you choose. We like that in our members

Let me introduce you to 3rd Fleet, a large, international and mature fleet. I have to emphasise this is mature in terms of attitude and not necessarily age. But it's also a fleet which understands fun is a major factor. If we're not having fun then there's no reason to hang together. We get that RL happens and we don't mandate play-times or anything so uptight.

We do have a TeamSpeak 3 server but it is completely up to you if and how you choose to use it. For STF's it certainly does come in handy.

We do have a website that you'd need to register in but the benefit is that you can access all the lovely content contributed by our membership. Lots of hints, tips and load-outs and a fair amount of general chit-chat about events in and around STO.

We welcome all levels - it's no big ego trip - we just enjoy helping and finding another excuse to chat. We are certainly a community and our international membership gives us an "always on" feeling with members all over the world.

Your membership in our fleet is what you make of it. If you want to contribute there are loads of opportunities. If you want to chill out and just "be" ... No worries! How much more casual can you be?

We are a busy fleet with lots of scheduled missions and, with our numbers, plenty of opportunity for ad hoc teaming and missions.

So I invite you to check us out - see our vid and see whether we might be the fleet for you!
