although ill probably give it a few hours to see how it goes. if the sever is still up after two hours it will probably be fine.

I really could'nt care less if the game causes my cpu to spit acid into my face and leaves me permanently disfigured. The quality of recent episodes tells me... it will be worth it.

What about that number + reasonable increase? You know, just to be safe.
The peak concurrency for feature episodes is nothing compared to the power of the first day of an open beta. Our server tech has handled much more capacity than what has caused the restarts (i.e. it is not an issue of capacity, and more of an issue in changes to load balancing which isn't utilizing hardware properly).

After investigating the last two weeks, the software team has made some changes that will correct the logic that was causing at least one of the failures these past saturdays.

Another issue dealt with some logic that was not shutting down empty maps as fast as we had expected - thus leaving instances open unnecessarily and clogging up resources.

Both issues have been addressed, so with those changes and additional hardware and on-site support we feel we are more prepared for the flood tomorrow. But again, we won't know if we got everything until we see the flood.

How does that even make sense, and how is it relevant?
