...it's broken!


...for months now!

...we had an Episode Mission in the meantime with a K't'inga Holoemitter forced on every single player!
it was broken the whole time since the Devidian Series!


A few months back the K't'inga was updated, actually it was split into a D-7 and a K't'inga.
With glowy Warp engines and Stuff.

Shorty after that a broken model creeped into an update and since then has never been fixed.

Now there is no glowy engine anymore and some broken Polygon stands out from the neck !? (seriously why is nobody noticing that?)

I tried reporting this in the Tribble Bug Report Forum, ...nothing
i had written it into the Klingon Cruiser Forum somewhere in the K't'inga thread... nothing

this was so long ago the screenshots i uploaded have been deleted by the image hoster!

so sorry, i don't have anymore pictures of the good model :-(

well if everybody is complaining today i thought i start one of *those* threads too, maybe this time somebody will listen?

That's ok. There is still a see-through spot on one of the 3rd tier cruisers pieces. I reported it like 8 months ago. It's still see-through.

Yeah... and that Orion harness that you can no longer equip with the Orion costume, but it works with everything else... o.O

noticed too! seemed like i was the only one. also, all these back in time missions with battle cruisers, why are they using the ktinga? now that there is a difference they should be using the d7 model. when i did the dividian mission i was like seriously? ktinga model? RIGHT after you updated the ktinga and created the d7? SERIOUSLY?

the low rez ktinga model that you see if you are like farther then 10km away or something has the warp engine glows, but when you get closer and it switches to the highest rez model it doesn't. over sight much?

and, in 2409, the ktinga would be little more than the KDF's miranda, it was during DS9! it has no place past tier 2. the tkano should have its size increased 25% and switch places with it. with those big guns at the end of its wings, it should have those 4 forward weapon slots.

Yeah, I forgot about the K'T'inga Model being broken. I loved the glows added to the nacelles and the front of the Engineering housing.

Sad to see this ship that is loved by so many get such the cold shoulder. I don't think there is a ship more asked for by the Klingons than the D7/K't'inga. It's very upsetting to see even the model we have now stay broken this long.

If the Devs are reading this please...please give us some update of when this ship will get fixed and when the T5 version will be released.

i don't think there's any other player ship in game that has an actual wire frame error like this, with that tumor sticking out at the base of the neck.

just yesterday i noticed something strange:

"Character Detail distance" is what it's all about!

i had set it to 200% (of course), these screenshots were taken when i turned the setting down to only 25%


conclusion:
there is a low res and a high res model of every ship in the game, "Character Detail distance" determines at what point the low res version switches to a high res version.

In case of the K'Tinga the low and high res versions got REVERSED
- we see the low res version up close
- and the high res version when it is in the distance,

at 200% you see the ship as only a few pixels (but you can still see the color of the glow), in the screenshots it is 25%, then you can get pretty close up until it switches to the ugly low res view.

Well done for finding that! That might just save the Devs some time in finding a way to fix this issue!
