# 1 Mission Dialog Error - Cloak

I've noticed that my KDF vessel will randomly decloak for no reason.

Then I noticed the decloaking was occurring whenever there was a mission dialog from my BOFF.

I was sneaking past a Romulan ship and then my science officer said something, the ship decloaked and the Romulans detected it!

Obviously, this is going to get very annoying quite rapidly.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I can't verify if the Federation cloak is having the same problem, so if anyone is experiencing this with that cloak, please let me know.

I'm having the same problem....been having it for several weeks. I just reported it as a bug.

This is very much still a problem and I'd like to see it at least make the known issues list that is actually published.

Come on guys, this one is EASY to repro...

1. Go home to Qo'Nos.
2. Cloak
3. Fly close to the planet to bring up the beam down dialog.
4. You're uncloaked!
5. Minimize the beam down dialog or say not now.
6. Cloak
7. Click the minimized dialog.
8. You're uncloaked again!

Aye it effects every cloaking ship across the board and has been wrong for quite some time. Official acknowledgment that the issue is known and being addressed would be fantastic.

Ever since I discovered this little gem of a bug, it's actually been screwing up my gameplay.

I don't know if I was just lucky or this bug is so recent, I only noticed it about a month ago.

But before that time, to choose an example, I'd cloak, go to one of the base defend stations in the explorable cluster and basically just sit there while cloaked while the base hailed me and we had the little chat about the attackers approaching to destroy the base.

Then I had the fun of dropping the cloak and opening fire from out of nowhere on the first enemy ship.

I'm uncertain if I could do that again (I haven't been back to the anomalies with a cloaking ship).

But basically, since I know every little hail or commentary is going to switch off my cloak, I just don't bother cloaking anymore.
That is, not unless I'm certain there's going to be no dialog and just a straight out get down and dirty fight.
And unfortunately, those are rare.

To cite the above scenario:
We're under attack, defend us please! (cloak drops)
Second wave incoming (cloak drops)
Third wave incoming (cloak drops)
The Battlegroup leader is here (cloak drops).

Cue doublefacepalm and head smashing into wall.
Followed by the order the next person to touch the cloaking on/off button is going to be ejected out the nearest airlock.

What's the point of having a cloaking ship if you can't use it due to some offhand comment by a BOFF or an NPC decloaking you against your will?

Yet another reason I have to want those comment screens to go away and to stick with BOFF comments in the chat box.

Given the prevalence of cloaking ships on both sides of the faction fence, you'd think they'd have made this a priority fix.

I agree with all posters above, this bug needs to be quashed, with a size 11 steel-shod work boot.

It is a game-breaker for any KDF player, and any Tactical Escort Retrofit or Galaxy Dreadnought captain.

by not at least (least being the absolute minimum.) adressing the issue in the post about the gal x and how you fixed the cloak animations, not just for the X but for all cloak your giving a statment that say: We have upgraded the cloak system and we either dont know of any issues, dont think this is an issue, its how we want it, or worst of all we dont care....mentioning it as something your looking into would have solved everything. this is almost a slap in the face, do a search this is not the first time this has been posted about.

Which seems to be the only acknowledgement we've gotten (that there is more than one thread -- and this only in a "closed thread" dev post).

I even reported my own post to ask for attention.

Cryptic? Are you listening?

Can we PLEASE get some response to this issue?
