Thanks, I was just curiuos if it was a new "ninja" someone found.

I'm not sure what everyone else does, but me personally I run an Advanced Escort with (Disruptors) 2 Dual Canon's 1 Dual Heavy, and Quantum Torps. I run Omega III, Rapid Fire II, and HY III to dish out my damage. If you have all your patterns up and abilities you can get some really nice disruptor breaches and kill very quickly especially if you bring down their shields and the HY III Quantum's hit.

Really nothing special at all, but I've been able to drop people very quickly doing just that.

I feel your pain, and thought it was just me.

Have been noticing this as well a bit lately, getting my hull absolutely shredded to pieces in seconds without my shields taking much damage, but haven't been able to make head or tails of any consistent pattern of buffs/debuffs causing it.

However, I don't think it's Tactical debuff stacking. This recent number-crunching thread would appear to indicate that there are very severe diminishing returns on resistance debuff stacking (more severe than those on positive resistance buff stacking in fact):

http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=203195

Moreover, myself and a few friends were experimenting recently with just this sort of stacking: 3 x Tactical Officers pulling off co-ordinated stacking of 3 x FoMM and 3 x APB 3 on a target, along with Sensor Scan. We all ran DEM as well for good measure. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either - it definitely wasn't even anywhere near as viciously, brutally effective as what's being described here.

Awhile back there was a thread complaining Sci was the new Tac in king of dps. Tac debuffing skills were brought up in that thread as well as bleed through potential, perhaps some took it to heart and remembered to spec for them rather than all buffs. Assuming this becomes new FoTM,

10 some will whine and call for nerfs
20 others will mention the counters
25 if no 20 nerfs will come goto 40, else 30
30 people will start to counter
40 others will think of new FoTM ... goto 10

Which one?

The SDR [Shield Damage Reduction] nerf hit all SDR-granting powers:
  • Emergency Power to Shields
  • Transfer Shield Strength
  • Extend Shields
  • Rotate Shield Frequencies (Yes, even the Engineer Captain ability took a beating. )

The nerf consisted of a 6%, 8%, and 10% total nerf to versions I, II, and III of those abilities, respectively. (i.e. EPtS1 used to grant 24% SDR, now it only grants 18%; EPtS2 was 32% SDR, now only 24%; and EPtS3 was 40% SDR, now only 30%. The losses to the other powers followed the same 6/8/10; version I/II/III rule.)

The SDR you receive from your Shield Power Level [SPL] went from 25% at 125 power, up to 35% at 125 power, a difference of .08% SDR per point of SPL. (Old SPL-granted SDR = .2% per point; New SPL-granted SDR = .28% per point)

Hope that clears it up for you,

Interresting... though i don't think that is it...

What I have so far, is that the high damage seems to be coming from antiprotons, and usually from tac-captains. Could it be one of the old crit-nerfs broke? (Extreme damage output has been observed from both beam-arrays and DHCs)

Actually, I suspect I'm doing this damage thing myself sometimes with my Escort with AP DHCs... but I still have not been able to figure out how to replicate it consistently....
