That's a mock up of what Perpetual's STO was going to look like, long before Cryptic even got their hands on STO.

I just chuckled that the characters name is Elephant.

Not so.

It's an old screen by Perpetual, back when STO wasn't even running in a game engine,

Does anyone else think it rather strange that even though that screen shot was just a mockup, the art (both character and landscape) looks almost identical to Cryptic's engine.

I think Elephant has Personal Shield Mk XII [Cap]x3 and I WANT.

I am curious exactly what people mean when they say "mock up". To me that sounds like something that is created just for show but is not the actual system itself. However, that screen looks like it was taken of an actual in game 3d environment.

Not really, since Perpetual turned over their art assets and concept art to Cryptic. :p

But didnt Cryptic say that they really didnt use anything from Perpetual(although they obviously used quite a bit of the concept art and designs)?
