Will we ever see more work on XMPP? I like the ability for fleet mates to be able to contact me while I am out of game. Would be nice to see it expanded to fleet chat and fleet officer chat. This way people such as myself who are working on fleet website can discuss it with their fleet.

Can you explain the reasons behind the recent abandonment of leveling rewards for ground weapons in the story line mission chains? I'm thinking in particular of the Mk nerfing on the Fed Type 2/3 phasers and Klingon Disruptor Pistol, along with the conspicuously non-leveling Romulan Disruptor Pistol and Reman Shield from the new series. It seems to have made a lot of people (me included) very sad that you Mk rated the old Fed weapons. The leveing feature was the best thing about them, along with the nice special art and effects. The Romulan pistol would also be uber cool in leveling form.

Given the trend toward leveling ship items (e.g., with recent shuttle releases), this seems like a baffling change. I at least would not find these weapons at all worth the trouble of grinding 5x of these same mission chains at every rank, so I'll probably never use them on any of my new toons. I doubt many other people are going to take the trouble to get them anymore either, whereas before the leveling items did lead to a LOT of replay business for those mission chains.

Also, if these rewards remain Mk rated, I am probably just going to wait until VA to do these mission chains at all, since only the Mk XI reward would be worth the effort. I suspect others will as well, which is sad for story lines that are supposed to be accessible for all levels. It was really, really nice to get something special that we could hold on to by doing these fun story lines early on, and Mk nerfing has taken all of the special appeal of these rewards away.

So I have a question and a request really: (1) Why the change, since these things were not apparently OP or otherwise game breaking in any way; and (2) Can you please put them back, and consider switching the current and future "special" items from weekly episodes to the leveling rather than Mk rated format as well?

Are we going to ever see the ability to turn on PVP or duel within any location? For instance most MMO's allow you to turn on pvp mode or opt in or out of duels. This would be a great addition for those that just want to be able to pvp within their own ship for instance or where sector space is concerned if you are PVP turned on and you are challenged, you would then enter a random part of space?

On a related note: How about a "Hardcore" mode for those who think "Elite" is even too easy? This might include perma death for BOs and captains, as well as permanent loss of ships with all hands aboard (although using Abandon Ship in time might save your captain and a couple randomly selected BOs from the disaster). It should also feature "always on" open PvP in any zone with members of any enemy faction.

Any chance of shifting the captain ship skills like 'escort captain', 'cruiser captain', etc to something to reward people for continually using the same ship? Maybe skills that give bonuses to certain aspects of your ship (weapon power, attack bonuses, hull, shield, turn rate, crew capacity, whatever) based on your skill level, and then scaling with how long (how many missions, skill points, mertis, whatever) you've been using that ship for? Okay, maybe more of a suggestion, but I guess the question is, is sticking with one ship going to be rewarded? I love being able to choose any ship to fly as my captain, but seems like you should get bonuses based on building a rapport with that ship and crew, rather than generic skills that're expensive to change. And in the shows, you always saw a captain sticking with their ship for quite some time.

PS. Please don't take away the option for my captain to fly any Fed ship he wants, or prevent us from swapping ship classes later on. The flexibility of ships is what makes the game have so much depth. It gives us so many options and things to try.

Can we have an update on MVAM? I saw a picture of Geko testing it and was wondering what the seperated parts do and what the projected date is for the release. Thanks in advance

Uh. It's easy: Mission replay. Go do the mission again when you get the next level, and ding! You get a new, higher-level version. Problem solved. OH! And this gives people actual incentive to use mission replay.

Hey! I know, in order to encourage people to replay missions, instead of giving them auto leveling weapons, lets give them weapons that are appropriate to the level they completed the mission. Then they'll replay it again for those items they really like, when they level up! Brilliant! More awesome weapons, less autoloevling weapons filling my bank slots, and more replay value! Win-win-win! We should let the Devs know.

Another question came to mind:

I know it was mentioned back in beta, technical issues required us to have these 20ft ceilings in our ship so cameras could move around. Given that there's ways to solve this (like just moving the camera in closer?), is there any chance of getting ship interiors to a more believable scale? I love the concept of being able to spend time inside my ship doing things (like the ready room for replay), but the scale of everything just kills me. It totally blows the immersion when I go to the bridge and I see something the size of a professional baseball infield, or when my quarters has windows that would make the Sultan of Dubai jealous. If there is such a person.

There's a few bridges that have a reasonable scale. And the ready room is about there. So I know it can be done. It's not about making it real to blueprints, but just to -feel- like it's the right size for a starship.

Would be nice if I could actually put a cramped interior on my Defiant where I'm almost bumping my head on doorframes, one that feels just like First Contact for my Sov, and the one where you can play football on the bridge for my Star Cruiser.

No, this gives me NO incentive to replay these missions at all. As I said, lots of people replayed these chains before up to five times in order to outfit their captain and entire away team, because what you got out of it was weapons you could keep with you for your entire career (at least until you get to VA1 and upgrade to Mk XI purples). Now nobody will replay them at all, because it's far more trouble than it's worth. Nobody is going to replay an hours long mission chain three to five times at every new rank to get weapons that have no real benefits vs. the commons or greens and blues you can craft or mission for with a lot less trouble. So what were really nice items are basically just taken out of game by this change.

Can we please have equipment that can be traded between toons on the same account? If my Tac Captain has no use for an item anymore, why can't I give it to my Eng Cmdr instead of just recycling it?
