i would like to propose with plenty of lead time for the development of necessary technology assets, a major event to be held during the summer of 2012 to coincide with the Olympics. The Olympics would be a welcome addition to the Federation of the 25th centory, since both organizations strive for many of the same goals, including the proliferation of peace and competition among diverse cultures. Emony Dax (3rd host to Dax) was an Olympic gymnast, so in some way the Olympics are still around in the STO timeline.

During the event we can participate in races, hand-to-hand combat, melee tournaments, Gorn rock throwing, fire arms accuracy, velocity, and a wide range of other activities that the devs may feel appropriate for the event. I would love to see some team events like Parrises squares, Hoverball, Pan zan (Enolian water polo), and maybe even soccer. What do you guys think?
