It seems to me that T5 Science Ships are now a lot more difficult to kill. I am a Engineer and fly a Star Cruiser Healer and I am more easier to kill. I am not calling for a nerf just asking Dev to check and make sure their powers are working the way they should.

Seem to be fine.

I'm clocking in at 15K and 17K on my Sci ships with Covariant Cap x3 + Field Generator + T5 ship skill maxed (and 1 lower tier maxed for the 17K). Makes sense mathematically.

The shields are fine but science fleet is too powerful. Almost makes me think it wasn't intended to be a 50% boost but rather a +50 boost similar to engineering fleet.

I think it's more that science ships benefit the most from Aegis/Covariants and from the +capacity consoles. On the flip side, their ability to regenerate shields is pretty poor in all respects.

Its not the shields themselves but the Shield buffs that make them difficult to kill.

I know Sagikicus of Wind and he's one of these Intrepid captains who uses a strong healing build and hes probably one of the toughest players to kill in a 1 on 1 battle. Which really shows how powerful healing builds really are.

Don't touch my SciFleet! :p SciFleet on it's own is ridiculously powerful, add in EPtS or TSS and you've basically got GodMode on for your shields.

TSS is quite good for regenerating shields, especially now that everyone has access to TSS 3. IIRC, my TSS 3 on my Attack preset heals for about ~8000 over 15 seconds. Granted, that's only about 50% of my total shield cap but it's still a pretty nice regen (and absolutely killer when combined with SciTeam 3 and/or EPtS).

Well if you're an escort or BoP it's effective enough it will force you to retreat. But with Cruisers, its no different than the ol Cruiser vs Crusier stalemates.

To be honest, such builds really wish that Cryptic had a more sophisticated damage system where the longer you battle, the more fatigued your systems become. Just like in SFC and BC.

SV's are vulnerable when you catch them out of position and they're staring at 1 v 3 or something similar. Most times you can cook their hull while their shields are still intact due to bleedthrough dmg from 3-4 ships.

Solo you won't likely kill a good captain of any ship in 1 pass (unless they're caught daydreaming). That's why you run with others. That's why wolfpack tactics are great.
