Great spot there!

What's curious (and/or deceptive) is the STO and Champions stores don't offer the 400 point option, despite having a lot of items that cost a multiple of 400, or combine with another item for exactly 400.

Always good to keep informed.

Note that something else is fishy

The 1000 point and 2000 point cost the same 1.25c per token but the 400 one cost 1.2875c
In other word the Atari Gas station charge you a little more (for the convenience I guess).

The second thing I notice is that I have a balance of cryptic, now Atari, Tokens but in the Atari store it said my balance was zero

EDIT :: Well the Atari Tokens Cards are Price correctly
At 1.25c Canadian per Atari Token at any of the 4 denominations

Well of course they want us to bulk up because they get paid when we buy the tokens not the items, although I feel they should offer discounts for the bigger token packs

In my case, I was fine because I already had 400 tokens sitting in the bank and adding another 1000 to buy the MVAM was acceptable. But what about if I had 0 tokens and I had to buy 1500 tokens to buy a 1200 token ship? Abit much right?

Either price ships at 1000 tokens or put in the option to purchase 1200 tokens please.

Thank you.
The do this for the same reason hot dogs come in packs of 10 and hot dog buns come in packs of 8

Can't recall where I heard it, but apparently each development team (STO, CO, etc.) gets revenue when an item is bought from their C-Store.

Didn't know that, I just meant they have our money as soon as we buy the atari points, the items themselves may just be a bonus.

The whole idea of selling people items that don't really exist for actual cash is underhanded. The whole C-store is a ripoff. Of course they would make your buy fake credits as well. And why not make people buy them in set amounts? Go that extra mile to gouge people.

Actually, they are making money if you buy only what you need. There is no good reason to make it so you have to buy more than you need.

I definitely agree with this setiment. 'There should be an option to "Purchase the exact amount of Atari Tokens needed to procure selected item"freature; OR the minimum purchaseable is the least sepensive C-Store ithems, and the largest is actually multiples of high proce items (ie since the high priced stuff is either 800; 1200 or 20000; allow us to ourchase in blocks of 400.

The fact that everything is in multiples of 500 is a bit ridiculous.
