Just curious. They're a pretty important organization in the Trek universe and it'd be cool to see it as a location we could visit for perhaps some very advanced crafting or as a mission contact for future content or feature episodes. Any thoughts on this devs or players?

Man, I'd love it if the Daystrom Institute, or failing that, Jupiter Station, were used as the hub for 'crafting' instead of Memory Alpha.

Seriously - who's bright idea was it to look at all the possible locations for crafting, and decide that a 'ibrary world', described as the repository for 'all the accumulated knowledge in the Federation' would be best turned into a glorified version of Shop Class?!?

Both the Daystrom Institute and the Soong Foundation are mentioned in full log entries in the path to 2409, you should check it out, it's fairly interesting.

I read somewhere that the devs are working on a fully explorable Sol system with vairous orbital facilities like Utopia Planitia and Jupiter station, though no mention of interiors. I'd love to visit these places along with a list of aobut a hundred more.

Starfleet HQ and Starfleet Academy are more important than Daystrom.

I shall bring this post back to life. hopefully the devs when they redo the crafting they add the Daystrom Institute for said crafting hub. memory alpha is an archive of the total cultural history and scientific knowledge of all Federation members. The library was assembled for academic purposes only. so why do we craft there?

Please don't.
