Cryptic balance has always swung in favour of the feds unfortunately this is the result of having a cstore and priority going towards milking the cash cow for all its worth with the Andorian Playable Ship, Enterprise F, Ambassador all in development the divide in KDF and FED ships balance is only going to get bigger and more OP on the Fed side.

They now have 3 ships, 1 of each type - a cruiser, science ship, escort utilizing a commander bo and a lieutenant commander bo of a different field which gives them incredible versatility.

Excelsior Commander Eng, Lieutenant Commander Tactical
Dykr Commander Sci, Lieutenant Commander Eng
MVAE Commander Tact Lieutenant Commander Sci

The Klingons's have no ships with a Lieutenant Commander BO of a different field than the Commander BO with the exception of the Voquv carrier which was nerfed to crap and is in a class of its own with the manoeuvrability of a steaming turd.

But the Klingons have BOP's .... with universal slots ...

The Br'el Retro ... its like giving Feds the MVAE except with 30% less hull and shields and then making it so that in MVA mode upon firing any weapons or using any heals or being team healed your shields will drop > and even then it would still be better than the Br'el Retro.

Which leaves us with the Heg'ta. The workhorse of the KDF

The BOP has always sacrificed shield and hull strength in favour of superior manoeuvrability. Whilst the BO slots are universal the ship made many sacrifices for this > having one less BO slot one less rear weapon and one less tactical console.

Now the MVAE comes along It has better shield and hull strength superior manoeuvrability, more BO slots, more weapons more tactical consoles ...

You forgot the Karfi (cmdr sci, ltc tac), but besides that small point you're completely right. Whether this is intentional or just due to incompetence is the question on a lot of peoples minds right now... and between this, cloaking tractor mines, and other things this unfortunate question pops up quite regularly. There's really no excuse for the way the B'rel turned out either.

im tired of everyone saying "federation escorts need nerfed". enough is enough...the escort is not op...the pieces can be blown to pieces very quickly. so what, we get a ltc sci...klingons have the best slots in the game and can therefore use any combo in the game for the bop...i don't see whats so op about this ship...so what it has teeth and makes u want to target the pets, thats the point...why have a pet that does nothing at all and u just sit there and tank...if u want op, give me all commander slots, thats op...though it does sound nice...

the pets are a distraction, nothing more...u have the option of either targetting the pets and killing them quicky or target the pilot himself/herself....the ship has better turn rate, so what...a defiant can wear it down to the point of either running or dying...

the bo slot arrangement is nothing to be considered op either...considering what u want to use...for example sacrificing hy3 to maintain omega 3/beta3/delta3 with two crf or two sv...the sci bo slot gives more options out to people now for feds to utilize...psw scramble3 haz3 tss3 gw tykens tb3 repulser3....is this op? no it is not, considering the bop can utilize these abilities and still maintain good dps ...

i have tested it against other players one vs one against all different kinds of ships and not found it to be op...yes the ship has teeth and can tank well, theres nothing wrong with it...ur build at the end will determine if u win or loose...

i will admit at first i was against mvam due to i didn't want the adv escort to end up like the gal-r with a useless saucer section...now it has been improved not only the adv escort, but the gal-r as well....difference, gal-r has better heals in a one on one match to keep the saucer alive vs the adv escort...even if adv escort runs all heals it can, two pets are hard to watch and keep heals on w/o leaving u open for attack...adv escort has faw and sv for crowd control and bo and crf for damage...omg is that op? no it isn't....why, the pets themselves have their own stats, therefore they do NOT have mk 11 purple gear for their weapons or even 10 for that matter...their stats are predetermined on ur own stats...considering the pets want to broadside ships thats two beam arrays each on the target, which is 4...the damage output is non existant...the target subsystem ability of the gamma can be annoying and makes u want to kill the pets even more...best thing i found, target gamma first, followed by beta/alpha...defiants and bops can have a good alpha on the adv and kill it in one pass, and considering the adv cannot move while seperating, lowers the bonus defense of the ship...a well-timed alpha can wipe it out...there u go its dead, move on to the next one...

Well I have never used an exploit like that, and in fact made videos to get them fixed...so im not sure how its only exploiters that are "whining".

My Fed team are the Legends of Star Trek, so we're restricted in which ships we can take, but there is an EMH on the way in order to justify using this new ship.

I dont recall ever seeing an exploit out of your group....and I have been here since beta.

Hm... I would have this ship, except I am stubborn and even in Tier 6, with my antiquated technology, Krizonar shall still fly.
