Hey guys. This is for both us Feddy's and the KTS guys. What do yall find the most annoying pvp abilites/ships. Obviously Reverse Shield Polarity is probably the most annoying to deal with in my opinion. And the new Klingon Carrier and that Narisian Battle Ship I find ANNOYING. But what do you guys find to be those abilities and ships that you JUST LOATHE?

Well the spam is annoying... and there looking at that and some changes are on tribble. Scramble is silly and the intended mechanic is very goofy and annoying... beaming my crew to the wrong ship seems just so far fetched even for a star trek game.

RSP I LOVE LOVE LOVE... I like to see green diapers come up on my targets... lets me catch up a couple cool downs... and hey I can count... 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1... BOOM your dead. Should have slotted a quicker cool down shield heal / resist bud.

Spam.

and Scramble. Scramble because it makes no sense what so ever. You can't self target (wtf? Even Hellen Keller could find herself), and everyone is rendered friendly instead of hostile?

actually I don't have any issues with the stuff you're listing...

- Scramble Sensors
- SNB
- Mines and pets
- Teams with 3 or more sci-spammers
- People who build for speed, and do nothing for their team but can't be killed.

this is really annoying...

Scramble Sensors being broken and overpowered, and spam. That's it, pretty much.

I'm sure people are expecting me to make my usual list of demands, but i'll just leave it at that. :p

Should be fixed in 1 form or another:
  • CTM/Mines {hopefully the regulation will improve its spam}
  • Scramble Sensors {Mechanic needs changing and have been saying so for a few weeks now}
  • RSP {Funny how it can be SNB'd off or it expires and you still die shortly there after}
  • Deuterium runners {we all know you collect far more deuterium than should be allowed}
  • Tractor Beam Repulsor {why is it it can move 3-5 objects away but Tractor Beam con only do 1...discrepancy??}
  • Chain Extend shields {good tactic but really annoying to deal with}


Annoying and fine with it:
  • Caught with a fully specced GW 3 and tractor beam and still stuck after using a PH
  • Getting hit with target-weapons and Aceton Field and doing no dps to clearing it

It's an interesting gimmick build, and when there's a few of them running high levels of TBR all specced for it and chaining it together properly, it can be reasonably nasty. But I don't really put it into the "overpowered" category because a) It actually takes some level of skill and co-ordination to pull off effectively and b) There are effective counters to it.

Scramble Sensors 3 fulfills my personal definition of "overpowered" for the converse reasons: it's incredibly effective without needing any investment of player skill, and there are no true counters to it. The second reason especially is the key one. IMO, the real "problem abilities" in this game for PvP (which is built on a system of counters) have always been the ones where you can't realistically do anything to counter it. Ie. the old SNB/VM combo.

When you pug and people on your team use TBR to push the target you just targetted for an alpha 12 KM out.

SS just everything about.

Just the visuals for some sci powers are too similar. PSW and CPB

Same can be said about some eng powers. Aux2ID looks a lot like EPtS

I think some skills should be tied to weapon types as opposed to Boff slots. Really cruisers and sci ships usually outfit beams so they should be able to train up all beam tac skills what is the point of letting cruisers run skills like Bov 1 & 2 and let escort drivers use BOv 3 when most escorts use cannon builds.

The only power cruisers and sci ships, besides excelsior, can use to negate tractors are either Tricobalt torp/mine, PH, and jam sensors. None of these ships have access to APO except aforementioned Excelsior.

Also phaser procs that actually show what system is down. Right now it is annoying to try and find out why I stopped dead in space, is it a TB GFx glitch, BTES, stacked chroniton proc, hand of god.
