Can't they notify you earlier on.
I mean I was building a very complex idea I had and like a bomb it appears in the screen you have 15 minutes for shutdown.
Pretty annoying I might add if you do that in game I don't mind.
But at least put it on the log in screen.
So I know when I log in I know I don't have to go to tribble on that time because off an update or maintenance.
I don't know now you work but if I go to the foundry to do something .
I make an schedule for it, I don't know if you married or how they do it in your country ?
But we plan such thing because we work we have the children is kind off busy.
So I plan my play time on STO.
So it would be nice if they keep that in mind.
And if they plan a maintenance or update, that they pronounce it to the people.
Let's say about 2 days before it's planned.
BTW : I'm not the only one who has to plan such things....
I am in the same shoes, I don't have much time or STO as I have a full-time job and a family and I know exactly how you feel as I often think to myself, now would be a great time to tinker in the Foundry - just to find it's currently offline.
But, really, I think it's not a big deal as it also means that we're getting new stuff. And that is always great!
O I like new stuff tons off them.
My job is Beta tester and MOD maker its sometimes a shame you can't mod things your self on sto.
But then again the Dev's are right to say if we do that some would say use sort off god mode action.
Or unbeatable if you do PVP and go's up against a mod guy who programed in a ship 52 disruptor banks . hahahaha.
But I sorry for sounding a bit harsh but there are a lot off kids online playing STO with a big mouth and ruining your post.
So again sorry....
Its a test server. We're lucky to even get a 15 minute warning. Don't like it? Don't use it then. simple. Besides maintenance on the test server usually is over pretty quick unlike the standard 2 hours for holodeck.
