# 1 Fastest Cure Run Ever
03-23-2011, 02:50 PM
It may take me a week but I'm trying to get a team together for this. The plan is to get a team to take the mission cure and hold onto it for 2 days. When the time comes we go in and take cure to the final ground boss, but not ingage him. One person stays and 4 beam out and drop and reacquire mission. Do the space part, beam to the ground and run to the ground boss. defeat him and beam to space part and finish the mission. I think this can all be done in less than 30 min for the 4 that dropped and reacquired the mission. It should beat my 54 min best time for cure as it stands presently done the regular progression way. Yes, once we have completed all the old content, this is what we are left to think up because of no new content. Team is within fleet so I'll let you know how it turns out.

I don't know. The way you describe it, it's still the same Cure run with 4 guys just wasting time to make it even longer?

The difference is the time in the log books listed for the fastest time. Sacrifices have to be made for progress. It's not like the mission is hard or any thing.

I see this as a cheap exploit. You should learn your times fairly.

easy, since when is the cure easy. Ok I can handle everything but those stupid shields. Can never get past the 2nd one. I have only completed the cure once.

hmmm, I think we made it in 51 minutes in a cure run the correct way. go find the video from Cutter and I think they broke into the 40 minute barrier.

My best time is 1:20. I had just learn the Steamroller the day before and was the first time I led use it. I think a experience team of 4 Tac and 1 Sci can do the Cure in under 45 minutes.

Can someone explain the Steamroller for me in detail?
The most reliable way I found and regularly use is:
summon the first Mob, kill leverything but a tac (a medical if you dont get a tac in the mix). Give it a reset, ignore the remaining tac, set up the second mob and then the third. That way it never get's too chaotic and is a sure way even for noobs to succeed.
But I realize it's a bit time consuming and could be replaced with a better method on an experienced team.

Why the rush? Every time i finish the Cure (or any other STF), I accept the misison again. My best time for Khitomer Accord on a char which I play rarely is 278 days and 11 hours. I just don't care. If I do the STFs, I do them with my own or our partner fleet. And we do it to get those guys through the STFs who don't have them yet or just for fun. And we make small breaks between the missions to grab another beer or take a leak. Maybe some day, we'll try a speed run, too.

Our best time to beat the Assimilated Carrier is 1min 17sec by the way. :p
