They have at least made it a bit easier to see who is active or not by having a pop-up that shows when the person last logged on. This is a little helpful at least

I totlay agree when i was in my old fleet i was in charge of Personnel and Members, I soent more time doing this than playing the game. Eventualy i gave up it was impossible to keep on top of. there are ways for this to work like divisions but it up to the fleet how they run it

I would suggest

A forum where members have to register (I know it can be a pain but they are not hard to setup and can be easy to use to keep track of members)

Fleet admin in game is basic at best. I certainly agree with the sentiment of this thread.

Again, the having members sign up for a forum idea is not an ideal thing to do.

Last night the fleet was full (again) and I had to remove (50) inactive players that had not logged on for a few months. If these 50 players had signed up for a forum (we do have a forum also but I don't want to force anyone to sign up for it) then I would have 50 inactive members on the forum also...

I don't want a forum with 2000 inactive members, that is a pain in it self...

I really don't mind doing the work with the members, I just wish it was easier.

I finished updating the members lists/status and it only took me about 4 hours this time

The fleet tools are lacking in EVERY respect. There have been other threads about this, but I think most of us that would use the tools have given up.

It's great that more people are seeing this as a problem. It was one of the first things I complained about the fleet management UI interface / options.

There's a thread in "Star Trek Online > Star Trek Online Forums > Feedback > General Community Feedback" called "Fleet leaders - unite" made by "Anazonda" that needs more of Cryptic's attention.
All the things in that thread should in my opinion be in Season 5.

What you brought up here is part of that.

Jepp finished the monthly updates of members and again it took about 3.5 hours.

Time I could have spent with my fleet mates playing the new content...
