It had survivied being washed before. )= It was a full blown costume quality hat too and those seem to be difficult to find. More than good enough to keep your head warm in the coolest of weather, single seem, just the right length, and just the right furiness.
right taken that felts not so durable some batting and nylar fishing line threads tacky with a cheap cotton pompom at the end in a pinch.. one of the cousins brood wore a silver sequin vest to the holiday party she was quite the little angel but not as much red an cousin wore his
Santa shirt and nice warm red hat.. sort of a mini Santa hat look.
Hum cross or zig zag stitch in green it would be neat to have a dyed wolf fur [not rabbit] trim almost like a Russian or Eskimo hat ..maybe a nice wool as sheep are a renewable material

Mine wasn't a cheap one. It was a full blown costume quality hat. Single seam, actually kept your head warm, faux fur, and imitation velvet. I'd gladly buy a real fur and actual velvet one but they are incredibly hard to find and don't come cheap. I looked at buying a full blown Santa suit today because I couldn't find a decent hat! It sure was tempting.
