TOSFLEET.com

In the year 2408 after the Klingon and Gorn invade Cestus III a Starfleet Committee chaired by Admiral Jorel Quinn passed motion to explore other options and possibilities in order to build up the Federation with commanders and ships. "We need to promote exceptional officers quickly. We need our captains leading away teams. Starfleet needs to look at our whole command structure and do what works now, not what worked 30 years ago."

A Starfleet diplomat was sent back to the late 2260's to speak with Starfleet in order to round up several possible exceptional commander candidates and as many star ships as they could refurbish from the decommissioned roster. This section 31 operation was known as Projct Christopher after the 1960's aiforce officer that was beamed aboard the USS Enterprise.

In order to not affect the time continuum the only way to choose worthy captains out of their own time and bring them to the future is to find all those that have no future. The captains must be about to die and taken from circumstances seconds before they meet their demise. They now have to accept that they have no past but have been given a new future. These are members of the ghost fleet.

The chosen captains were given ships that were pre programmed with precise calculations in order to carry out the light-speed breakaway factor to artificially-created time warp in order to time travel back to the 2408.

Once the initial five captain were sent, Starfleet would keep their eye out for any such qualified command personnel to join the fleet and to help fight the war in the future.
You may be that commander!

Just wanted to welcome our newest Officer in the Fleet!
Please welcome Fleet Admiral of Internal Affairs - JAG Officer Oamore to the TOS Veterans.

He will be working for the Fleet Diplomatic Services Department and directly under the command of Fleet Chief Ambassador Cleary.

JAG Officer Oamore will be dealing with any fleet drama and personality issues before they become a problem. We are all in an agreement

Quote:
The system is not a "boss" per se, but a helper to keep down fleet drama and jump on possible problems before they become problems. I've been in guilds, as we pretty much all have, that have had drama to the point that the guild splits due to side taking. This is what I will be trying to elliviate, totally. Not "lord" it over any1 else, but negioate and use dispute resolution skills (that ANY atty has been taught - most cases are settled and NOT litigated due to this) to come to a resolution that is amicable to all partys.
Hope you don't mind me quoting you!

JAG Officer Oamore will be dealing with any fleet drama and personality issues before they become a problem. We are all in an agreement that since we are a 'mature' fleet we will have little issues, but if they do arise (and they usually do) Admiral Oamore will try to defuse the situation and try to work matters our in a private respectful matter. If he is unable to do so he will have the authority (with Council direction) to act on matters i a possible tribunal situation.

This is the first time I have said this to one of the Fleets Officers but I do hope that you are able to do as little work as possible.

Congratulations again and I look forward to working with you!!

Welcome again ambassador Phoenix_Lord from the VKF to the Mariner 10 Spacestation. May you again enjoy your visit on our facility.

Mariner 10 was named after an early 20th century Earthís robotic space probe launched by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration. (Which later became part of United Earth Space Probe Agency) The Mariner 10 was launched on November 3, 1973, to fly by the planets Mercury and Venus. The Mariner 10 probe was the first spacecraft to use the gravitational slingshot effect to reach another planet, passing by Venus on February 5, 1974, on its way to becoming the first spacecraft to explore Mercury.

I would liek to welcome the TOS Vereans Fleet RP Officer, Fleet Admiral Saruk.

aharonc has run several RP guilds in the past. He created and ran the Marchwardens of Ennorath in LOTRO and most recently was co-founder of Vigil's Grace in RIFT. He brings both experiece and enthusiasm to the fleet.

Quote:
My personal interest in someday being an RP officer is really to help create an atmosphere in which everyone feels empowered to collectively add to the RP experience. Ruth (my friend from VG) and I wrote a line in our guild manifesto that I believe strongly in: "We ask all members to contribute, as good ideas come from everyone. And the best RP experiences are those generated by co-creation". This is something that I've pulled from my daily work life as a Creative Director. Every creative project we produce does not come from one person but rather groups of people all working together to meet a client's need (the client included). As a CD my job is not to say "This is my vision and you will produce my vision". Some CD's are like that, but they always end up talking to themselves rather than the client or the consumer. Every award I've won has been a project in which a team came together to create something amazing, together.
Please welcome Fleet Admiral Saruk to the position and feel free to offer your support to him in his new position.

We also have cool medals for in-game, out-of-game, and role playing stuff for older players like me, who are attracted to "Shiny Things"

Kirk vs. Picard....Data Vs. Spock....Sulu vs. Worf... Might seem close....BUT...Sorry TOS wins once you get to....Chekov versus Wesley Crusher.

Seriously, if your tired of making jokes which reference 70's and 80's TV series or movies to people who "just don't get it" ? Come fly with us.
