Name:- Chobe Average Lifespan:- 700 years Anatomy:- Extremely resilient to most diseases and infections in the Alpha Quadrant History:-
It is unknown when the Chobe evolved but they thrived well into the early 21st Century on their home planet which lies hundreds of light years from the core empires of the Federation and the Romulans. At some point before that time period, they encountered an alien race known as the Qualons and began a war with them. They also developed warp drive before this and it is believed they held several star systems by the early 21st Century.
War Against the Qualons
The Chobe and the Qualons were at war by at least the Earth year 2006. The Chobe were very militaristic about the war and demanded victory over the Qualons, employing every male member into the military once they reach 47 years of age. The war was savage, brutal and was on-going; some even said the war would never end due to the sides being so evenly matched.
By the mid 21st Century, much had changed and many star systems were on the frontlines. The main Chobe homeworld was the centre of the military and produced the main bulk of the Chobe starships. The war was still on by the mid 22nd Century where only a few star systems had been taken by either side from the last century.
By the early 23rd Century, nothing had changed. However, a half Human-Chobe named Tribalt was delivered by the Qualons to the Chobe Homeworld. There he was raised in the House of Melchob. However the ship that delivered him was attacked and disabled by the Chobe long enough for sensor data, records and military positions to be used by the Chobe. The ship was destroyed, however the military used the newly acquired data to coordinate their ships and attack certain key systems. By the mid 23rd Century, the Qualons' only main source of resource and starship production was their homeworld of Qualos itself.
In 2270, the Chobe Military Commander, Melchob, led the attack against Qualos, the last remaining Qualon settlement/planet. After an intense fight, the Qualons left the battle for the Chobe Homeworld, hoping to throw them off-guard. Melchob saw this coming and threw all forces in the entire military to defend the Homeworld. A small task force stayed behind at Qualos to attempt to conquer it. The Chobe fleet engaged the Qualons at the Final Battle of the Chobe Homeworld and the Qualons were soundly defeated. At Qualos, the task force had successfully managed to conquer the planet, bringing a centuries-long war effort to and end.
Due to no enemies to fight, Melchob was removed from Military Commander position and replaced by Grachob. Grachob's position lasted merely 4 months. Four Months of ever increasing distrust, questioning and rioting. This was due to the fact that all Chobe had devoted themselves to the war effort. Now that the war was over, the race needed something to do and also questioned whether the military was even needed anymore. At the end of the fourth month, the entire race rebelled against one another. Eighty Percent of the Chobe in the race went off to form four more factions. The remaining faithful ones, such as Melchob, Grachob and even Tribalt, stayed behind and began a massive defence effort to defend against the rebels.
The fighting began with skirmishes of the once united and proud military. Eventually, it became clear to the main Chobe race (of the homeworld) that the other factions had genetically engineered themselves to make them different and not too 'weak' to the rest of the galaxy. The main threat faced by the Chobe was the Orb, the biggest faction of the rebelling Chobe. Their home star system lays merely 4 light years away, making it the closest as well. The fighting continued for more than 140 years and still continues to this day.
The War of 2409
When the war between the Federation and Klingon Empire began in 2406, many Chobe factions sought to ally themselves with either side. the Federation naturally refused due to their Prime Directive and the Klingon Empire would not ally themselves with them due to their faction homeworlds being so far away from the Empire. Many Chobe within the factions wanted to join their war effort and many factions lost members.
In 2408, Melchob was temporarily promoted to Military Commander once again to attack the Orb at one of their supply outposts. The attack was a great failure and Melchob was exiled from the Chobe as a result. Currently, it reported that Melchob is a KDF officer working for the Klingon Empire. Other notable Chobe deserters were Grachob, Tribalt, Garchob and Thakchob. Garchob went and followed Melchob into KDF service whilst the others went to the Federation claiming they have abandoned the Chobe wars for good.
Notable Individuals:- Melchob, Thakchob, Grachob, Tribalt and Garchob
Once an advanced technological society, they destroyed their civilization in a war that lasted six minutes (the "six minute war"). Since this time, Durla has been a wasteland, and its people live in a near-barbaric state, using their shapeshifting ability to survive. A few notable Durlans have escaped the planet and gone onto greater things.
The Pojarn are from a ring galaxy. It is speculated they may hail from the one known as Hoag's Object, but there is no way to confirm.
The Pojarn do not believe it is possible to travel faster than light. They started to colonize other worlds by building massive sleeper ships. One such ship passed through an unstable wormhole into the milky way galaxy. The ship continued travelling for hundreds of years before being spotted by a Federation Science vessal.
Not much is known about the Zr'Ronian androids other than they are a product of an ancient civilization called the Zenetians, who hail from the depths of the Andromeda galaxy. The Zenetian people themselves, according to the Zr'Ronians in the Milky Way galaxy, were locked in civil war when they departed on a survey mission, destined to not return due to surveying what the Zenetians thought was a black hole. When the survey shuttle approached the anamoly, the crew was disabled due to strong electormagnetic emmissions. Without the crew's knowledge, the shuttle was pulled into the rift, moving it across space and time, approximatelly 1,000 Earth years into the future. The shuttle was deposited near the Starbase K-7 and was discoverd by accident by the Federation. The shuttle was taken to K-7 after a team of Starfleet officers boarded it. To Starfleet's surprise, six of the thirteen on board were still intact, but deactivated. After being transported to the station, the Zr'Ronians were reactivated by the gases in the artificial atmospher. Given a choice, five of the six stayed with Starfleet while the sixth choose to scope out the Klingon Empire. They were able to "blend" in with the cultures due to a Zenetian innovation that allowed them to morph into different appearances.
