"Login failed for unknown reason" error
Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Some characters were stuck in a loading screen with a "Server Not Responding" message
Apart of me is also thinking that more then 1 person by himself could produce the results I've seen.. Like a Tac and a Sci.. Tac does FOMM, Sci does Sensor Scan, both have Beta and DEM..

They could also bring a Cruiser captain as a third guy with a higher ranking DEM. Or a Lolbula.
Yes, but are your weapons also damaging and bringing down shields? Because again what I've witnessed was full shields and still being able to get bleed through for way more then I'd expect.
I suffered the same thing the other day wilst flying a Vovcarrier. One shot from an Escort took me down to 54% hull with no loss of shielding. I found it highly dubiuos and can't recreate the effect.

5 different beta's from 5 different captains being the key as ApB's stack but not from the same person.
Cryptic has kept this mechanic around ever since they upped healing and resists. It is the only meaning ful way to do crap tons of damage in a short period

The Mechanic it's self isn't what bothers me.
It's when I see damage that is well beyond the mechanic. Where I'm taking damage through my shields and hull resists that is higher then expected and experienced in the past.

Thrown in the added confusion of it being done by just a single player and the mechanic becomes a dubiuos excuse for damage beyond what has been considered normal / excellent gameplay in the past.
While I find it dubiuos due to my lack of understanding, I still do not know if I will call such users exploiting or cheating.
I fnd I must put forth more study of the situation.

Which is kind of why I created this thread. Wanting to get information to find out if it's all apart of the game and it's intended, or an unexpected and maybe even unintended side effect of perhaps something new being placed in the game.
