I got tired of respeccing for different ships and builds, so I created a final spec for my tactical that includes all ships and ground (with fire team kit).

If you switch photons for quantums in this spec, you should be able to build a good escort.

ATTENTION: This is not the build you are looking for if you only want to fly an escort and no other ship ever again. There are better and more specialized ones out there. This is a multi-purpose spec for escort/cruiser/sciship/ground.

I'm working around the limitations of the skill cap by using my enormous ego to compensate for the lack of skill points. :p
Actually, I'm using Era to work around the limitations. Having a healing dutchman at your side allows even weird specs to prevail.

How about hybrid science/escort? Give this a try...

http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?...ridsciescort_0

Basically a DPS/movement debuff build, flying a MVAM Prometheus. Whether you use the MVAM console or not is your choice, I just chose that ship for the Lt Cmdr sci slot.

Your movement debuffs are tractor beam, chroniton torpedos + torpedo high yield (which forces the proc), and beam target engines (-75 power if you max starship sensors). You could use tractor beam mines too if you're feeling sneaky.

I did it with a sci officer, but it doesn't depend on any sci captain abilities, so it would work with a tac officer too.

Works rather well.

Hybriding with a cruiser isnt too bad really.. Most people spec into the efficiency and performance skills anyways, so youre just looking at skilling the cruiserboxes, which isnt taht huge a sacrifice..

Hybrid with a Science ship is a little more .. sacrificial.. since youll be speccing multiple skillboxes you normally wouldnt.. Anything is possible though.

Ah.. I think the OP mean a hybridbuild like speccing a Tactical for both a escort and a cruiser.

Maybe if you keep it up, one day people will not warp out on you in PvP matches?
