Did some FvK CnH yesterday and god damn the carriers were back in force, I think you were in a few of the matches Hale. Needless to say I soon went back to FvF.

I had stopped using mines, cos it was spam, i stopped using SS cos it was op, i stopped using FAW cos it was op, i stopped using tykens and GW cos it was not fair apparently and was spammed and in the end i discovered dispite all the crying about it i was just about the only one.

Every match i go into regardless of who is there i have to work around mines, SS, GW FAW and all the rest so i can only surmise you need to grow a pair of find a more gentle game for yourself, hello kitty, tho even that might cause you an issue.

Plenty of people cry here on the forums, hardly anyone actually does anything to reduce it, so why should the few that do even care about your crying

Actually...torpedo spread is far from spam clearing ability.... Torpedo Spread 3 hits 4 targets only....torpedo explosion is 0.3 km if I'm not mistaken, so ....

Why do these threads always seem to involve TSI?

We had a team warp out on us recently due to the 'mine spam' (it was one sci ship with 1 mine launcher).

As Ardept suggests, we get complained to about spam, grav wells, scrambles and faw by people that are using..... spam, grav wells, scrambles, and faw. What are we allowed to use?

It seems to me, that if we set up a five man feedback pulse team, it would get complained about.

what makes me laugh in zone is when someone 'claims' they only run FAW to clear spam, even when not one person on the other team so much as dropped one mine, or 'i only run 25 wpn power' which probably means 60 after skill points and they are nearly always an engi so that eps makes it nearly 100, which when you need a spike is then at 140% damage vs the main target and 140% vs a secondary.

Tho my personal faverate is the 'lol faw spammers' from those that have just lost only to see they had been running FAW3 or x2 copies of FAW2

People always make excuses as to why it is ok for them to use a skill, but not ok for those that beat them to use it, it is no wonder pvp is not taken seriously by cryptic, you are hard to be taken seriously by other pvper's

It just happened you were there when I took the screenshot. Might as well have been any of the other Spam-O-Matic premades running public arenas these days.

My point is, there wouldn't have been the need for a New FaW if Devs just removed the problem at its source:

=> 1 single X type mine per drop, Personal and Shared Cooldown = 400% of actual value

- Starship Mines=9 / Starship <X> Projectiles=0 / Dispersal Patterns=NO
=> 1 single X type mine per drop, Personal and Shared Cooldown = 300% of actual value

- Starship Mines=0 / Starship <X> Projectiles=9 / Dispersal Patterns=NO
=> 1 single X type mine per drop, Personal and Shared Cooldown = 300% of actual value

- Starship Mines=9 / Starship <X> Projectiles=9 / Dispersal Patterns=NO
=> 3 X type mines per drop, Personal and Shared Cooldown = 200% of actual value

- Starship Mines=9 / Starship <X> Projectiles=9 / Dispersal Patterns=YES
=> 3 X type mines per drop (5 X type mines only when Dispersal Pattern active]) plus Dispersal Effect, Personal and Shared Cooldown = 200% of actual value

- Chroniton MINE proc = from 33% to 10% chance.

Seems to me much easier than altering 4000+ data entries for FaW in the first place....

And on top of that:

- Photonic Fleet (I, II and III):
4 mins Recharge
Counts as an active buff (removable with Subnucleonic Beam).
DURATION=2 mins.
When PF is active, place a -30 malus to Auxiliary Power for the entire duration, or until all photonic ships have been destroyed.

- Fleet Support (I and II):
10 mins Recharge
Summons ONE random allied ship (Dreadnoughts are EXCLUDED) instead of the actual 3.
Summoned ship might have stronger hull/shields to compensate from the number reduction.
