The first referral would've given you a referral reward, but the next one only comes after you refer 5 people. The reward for referring 5 people is the Dreadnought, so you can get it without having to pay actual money for it. The trick of course is convincing 5 other people to buy the game...

Sounds like this is the standard for MMOs now guess i should play some MMOs that are a little more populer.

I can back that it is totally worth the 25$, If you'd like I will give you a PVP and PVE Build for it.

The games with cheaper stores mostly have items that you MUST have to compete, and thus you end up buying a lot more items. Cryptic's store is full of pretty toys you don't need to compete.

As has been pointed out, the game that has 60+% of the entire MMORPG market in North America and Europe charges about the same for shinies.
