oh it can get worse, wait until the next fix hits holodeck. New maps won't cut it, either Cryptic gets their heads behind the idea that there is PvP in this game, or they should just nuke it permanently. AT least potential subbers know what they pay for ....

I don't know thise pvp fleets dont loose play ultra boring setups with cruisers and btw there is something wrong with (extend shields + tactical team) because they have like permanent rsp. My problem isn't actually or mayb it is that i loose vs thise fleets its just that they dont strive to beat other fleets they just que up to beat pugs.

And surely tsi have beaten many pugs, and after awhile it gets totaly boring, who wanna beat up players who dont even balance their shields?

Anyhow my suggestion is simple, Make "random arenas" so I can que up get 4ppl who want to fight vs 5 other ppl who want to fight. Where your only allowed to que by yourself.

But keep team vs team arenas too.

So...it took you one and half year to figure out, why some people prefer PuGs over Premades....welcome to the club

Just from my own experience, it was always so...its very hard to find a PuG vs PuG match in this game...some "premades" stick to queues for half day...only thing that changes are fleets that do that.

Maybe this is actually true, and my reservations about the validity of seperated Team and Single Player Queues are wrong.

There are clearly Fleet mates teamed up in this game, and quite more than the silence TSI or RE experience on OpenPvP suggests.

Well obviously that means you are NOT a "good" player. Good players can team up their "PUG", give orders, create tactic and make victory out of nothing. But noone is perfect. There is nothing more boring than winning a one-sided match. I would rather loose 100 "frustrating" matches and teach one or two persons how to do better and encourage to try better next time, than to win one boring one-sided match. But I guess, we all see different challenges in PvP.

Do your really think it would help if I made keybinds for "use two copies of EPtS and have them running all the time", "constantly rebalance your shields", "use 100 weapon power", etc? I could try that.

I'm not sure that players would really appreciate it if I told them during the match that they should probably fly a different ship with a different BO setup and use different tactics.

Maybe we should have a better "my first cruiser/sci ship/escort" posts on the forum that we can link to? With one cookie cutter build and spec and basic tactics.

One thing first: When I hear "team queue", I think of queues for full teams only. If your definition of "team queue" is the regular queue with both single and teamed players allowed, things will be different, but I still fear that the pug-only queue would drain the life from the regular one.

And now for my reply with true team queues in mind:
How often do you think the average team will enter the team queue when a full TSI/RE/... premade is queueing again and again? Maybe I'm too pessimistic, but I would think that the odds of such a team queue starting are comparable to the amount of responses a "any premades on?" in OPVP gets.

Yes but that would show the real interested of people playing this game...you fear that it would just show, how very small portion of playerbase cares about "serious" pvping...

Well im realistic. Most people are naturally hypocrits. They like to win if they have odds on their side (premade vs pug), but they wont play if they do not have odds on their side (bad premade vs good premade). You know, the ego stuff.

The real difference is, how many people will be positively/negatively affected by such chance. I'm afraid that such "PuG" queue would improve the pvp experience for wast majority of players...at the cost of already almost extinct competitive pvp. Well as in nature..only the strong, most adaptable will survive disasters.....

Well, I think decent cookie cutter builds would be better than Boarding Party 3 + DEM2 + RSP2 + AtBat1 + AtID1 + Jam Sensors + Tractor Beam 2 + Torpedo Spread 1 + CSV1 cruisers.

Ye but, even better would be some "general" casual build...all-purpose one. You know, nothing overspecialized, overoptimized, minimaxed, relying on some special team composition and such.

A queue for pugs only will simply fill up with cruisers, as none of the pve crew will bring anything else (role players dont fly escorts), it will be just as boring. We need more players, and good ones too, not just some muppet from a role playing fleet, who is only there to collect emblems.

Trouble is, this game is so broken from a PVP standpoint that all the decent players (subs wise) have left, and whats left is mostly lifers who cant quit.

Theres been no announcements about extra content for pvp players, theres been no announcement about a FAW fix, things are not getting any better anytime soon.

So sad
