1. If it can't be fixed, just ask Scotty

2. Don't put all your ranking officers in one shuttlecraft

3. Tribbles hate Klingons and Klingons hate Tribbles

when fixing something, take how long it will take you to fix it and then multiply it by a factor of 4 before you tell your boss.

Always wear your seat belt, you've seen what happens on a Starship when you don't :p

Do not approach Sleeper Ships, they contain lots of bad things....blow them up on sight.

Shooting at space trash is no test of a warrior's mettle

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one.....

The needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many....wait...human error in logic...GAH (puts my pointy ears back in the drawer)

There are many things Spock finds fascinating.....

The captain is supposed to get most of the 'action' on-board the Enterprise (see TOS episodes for more details )

Make sure to verify the identity of a planet before beaming down...The inhabitants might detain you, interrogate you, put creatures in your ears, and make you say horrible lies...lol

Last but not least... Make sure if you are wearing a red shirt you call in sick if you are called to escort Captain Kirk on an away mission

Cloaking devices work just fine when heading to a battle, but always end up damaged or disabled when you need to escape, meaning that the enemy can chase you wherever you are headed.

Don't interrupt Vulcans during Pon Farr....it's considered rude...and you could be challenged to a duel to the death......

wait...wouldn't that belong on the doom thread too?

as a last resort always try an inverse tachyon beam.

do not annoy the childish alien with god like powers.

in a diplomatic situation - always think what would picard do.

in a war - always think what would sisko do.

in a bar - fight always think what would kirk do.

Keep good relations with the natives...even if it means Kirk has to smooch the antagonist's female love interest
