I'm trying to make a mission in which the starship picks up some supplies and then goes to warp, only for something to go wrong. (A sort of non-combat repair misison.)

Problem is, i've made the first map, no problem. I've got all the objectives sorted and whatnot. Problem is... I don't know where to find the command to move to the next map I have created. I would appriciate some advice on where these commands are that I cannot seem to find.

To create a transition from one map to another you first need to create your 2nd map, and then place an objective on it. It can be something as simple as an interact objective. Once you create an objective on your 2nd map, the system will automatically generate a map transition box in your story section.

Another question I find myself forced to ask. Is it possible to make consoles already on the map interactable, or do I need to place my own consoles down? Just trying to figure out how to do the repair consoles.

You cant make the console itself interactable(if its already there), but you can place an invisible object that is interactable right on top of it and it will look like your interacting with the console.

Having playtested my own published work. I can say two things. One, I feel kinda glad I pushed myself to do it, and...

...I really need to brush up on my skills with this thing.

Don't be stuck:
Cryptic has linked to a series of video tutorials for aspiring Foundry users right here.

Three of those videos are by yours truly, so feel free to use them. PM me if you need help.

Chances are you'll want part 2 and part 3.

Also, StarbaseUGC.com is a great fan-created resource for authors to learn, share, and promote their missions.

Yes, and the Preacher's and Kirkfat's tutorials helped me immensely. I would not have been able to learn the Foundry without their help. I studied their tutorials for 2 weeks prior to my first attempt, and with the assistance I received from them, I have been able to do what I want to and even expand on it. It is awesome. I definitely recommend you take advantage of the help they offer. It makes the Foundry work much easier to understand.

On a sidenote, the Grand Nagus is indeed wise, and his suggestion of the invisible object to interact with existing objects is perfect. I use it often in my story interactions. Of course, I learned it from the tutorial help.

Also, checkout
starbaseugc.com for even more help and guidance in the Foundry.
