Interesting error here. Started the game the normal way on my desktop running Windows XP with an NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT card; got a black screen with music. Tried the option for the game to run in it's windowed Safe Mode; got music, background and one character but no menu and no way to actually start the game.

Works great on my laptop, however. Running Windows 7 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 on it.

Post a DXDiag so we can take a look at the system info.

Specifically what parts do you need? If I post the whole thing, it's too long

CPU
Memory
Direct X
Video Card and driver info
Audio system and Driver info.

I believe you should be able to save the whole DXDiag dump as a .txt file and you can upload it as a attachment to this particular forum too.
