So I'm doing the Admiral Level Undine Front and Borg Front Missions. And again and again and with increasing frequency I'll knock a borg down to zero health bar and instead of dying it goes to sleep just standing there with its head down. At this point I can no longer target or damage them. 10 seconds later they wake up with full health and attack again. This goes on and on often with them transporting in reinforcements.
How in the f'n hell do you kill them. Frankly the fact that you can't end them when the go to sleep is complete bs. At this point some of the missions are unplayable because the borg will NOT DIE. So help any help would be appreciated. I do not remember the borg doing this in earlier missions. True I have been away from the game for several months but come on!
I've been shooting everything that I can target. Gets rather hard when the borg ignore your BO and just try to melee you. Gets really fun when you have 3 or 4 directly in your face. Spend a lot of time held.
Well, they are objects on the ground. Similar in height to a phaser turret engineers can build. Usually Borg groups are gathered around them while not in combat already. The first rule in fighting the Borg is: Destroy the node first.
Command your BOs to focus on the node as well, if you canīt destroy it fast enough.
It also helps a lot if you know what the different drones do to determine the best kill order.
Nodes first has been said already.
I usually kill standard drones next, cause they are the ones that call in the proto-drones. Think of the protos as their version of security escorts, the do a lot of damage, but are easy to kill (they are unaffected by nodes and always die).
After normal drones go for Infected drones, cause they have a nasty habit of neuralblasting you a lot. Don't let them touch you and keep a huge distance.
Then medical drones.
After that you can go for anything called tactical.
Elite tacticals regenerate their shields when they get low on health (there's a bug that doesn't show the regenerated shields, which leads to them being seemingly invincible for a short period of time). It's best to focus with several melee weapons on them.
Seriously though: You've gotten all the good advice up there... Learn them, make them part of your char, because once you go STF, you're gonna need to be able to use them like they were second nature to you.
