this is very very important, i have several teams who have sent in just the names and @handles, we also need the ship type and captian type for the team to be entered in.

It trades some shield cap for more hull. If you could simply make it turn as good or a better than the defiant by adding in a turn rate console it would be better than the defiant since it could either turn the same as it does, or go with something else instead. I'd be willing to agree that the defiant has the slight edge, but there is not a huge amount of difference. Where there is a huge amount of difference is the MVAM vs. every other escort in the game.

It actually is a cross between the defiant and the Fleet. But I do agree it turns more like a cruiser than like an escort. Personally I think the turn axis is not centered and closer to the rear. I wouldn't be surprised the turn rate in game is wrong for the raptor. The only thing it has in common with the defiant is the Boff layout and the cloak.

At least in the 3 sections. Though where they are the most vulnerable is in the split which I am seeing more and more people trying to do in combat. I have killed the main section before they can spread out and run around.

guess I'm the only one that really like the Raptor.... The design alone is worth it! and it IS the hardest hitting KDF ship!

It doesnt quite match the Defiant when kitted with a MK XI blue RCS, I think were talking 0.8 below (with base turn being in the mid 20s iirc), like someone said, it also turns slightly different (which for me havent been a problem)

I dont quite agree with the notion that it sucks, I suppose its because the versatility of BOPs make Raptors more or less redundant. Its the same deal for the MVAE, the turn isnt the huge hurdle, its the ability to fit in a stun or a huge resist through TSS3 that makes it problematic.

The huge drawback of the MVA (both variants), is the lack of cloak when compared to the Defiant (or BOP for that matter).. I know I flew the thing for 4-5 days, before heading back to my Defiant.

Cloak is only needed when you are pugging or using fail tactics. If you have a team that can support you, you don't cloak up after the initial alpha. Time spent cloaked is time spent not doing damage.
