While fighting the Borg with a bat'leth in STFs I prefer this one:

and during PvP matches this one always keeps me in the routine:

Aye, I undertsand the fascination with it...I do, but I reckon it's my style. I do remember the old VCR cases with the movies. I still have them . As well I have the original LP for the Motion Picture, Wrath of Khan, and Search for Spock. . As far as it goes I have watched the movies enough to be able to quote them all accurately and hear the music in my head without the music running...lol...that's sad...really sad...lol.

My aha moment came in ST 2 during the activation of the Genesis device when the ship is attempting to escape from Khan and the resulting explosion...I didnt feel the same with the one you mentioned...

I do have one to add to the list...possibly...Anybody remember Krull?

Battle in the swamp: Krull Soundtrack

@ Tarmon...yeah that's funny...Benny Hill for PVP?...I was thinking perhaps that ought to go in for STF's as well...lol.

I had to find that one (for anybody else curious, here's the youtube) and I can definitely see it as a good combat theme, for space or ground.

Wow...I must really be out there for liking Krull....but I remember it had some good themes...As well, I include Dune in there as well....and as much as I hate to admit...the main theme for The Last Starfighter...hahahahahaha...hope that's not to much 80's synthesizer for anybody

Well, you can of course go the other way...I know if you prefer ground combat you could go with the route of Basil Poledouris...He is on par with Horner imo, but some would disagree...

I am thinking of the Conan music:
Prologue/Anvil of Crom
Battle of the Mounds

This is of course from Conan the Barbarian...lol....yup I spent a lot of time in B movies when I was younger...lolz
