We have all seen the terrible aftermath... poor Orion women, bleached to a pasty greenish-white color, trying to live out the rest of their ruined lives as fake Caucasian humans. Worse still are the poor misguided Orion girls who bleach themselves, because of their low self esteem and the false body image promoted by popular space beauty magazines.
Less well known is the consequence. With the natural chlorophyll in their skin destroyed by the caustic effects of the bleach, these Orions are unable to live under normal sunlight. They are cursed to a life in perpetual shadow, such as the flickering darkness of Drozana Station, never again to photosynthesize beneath the sun of home.
It's painful, it's inhumane, and it's wrong.
The barbaric practice of bleaching Orions has got to stop.
My Orion is in fact pale, But her story is that she is only half, Her father was a dirty human that left her mother before she was born. So now she fights along side the KDF, seeing her unknown father in the same light as the Klingons and Kirk.
