A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I'm trying to tweek the Seige Destroyer to be better at PVP. Over all its a good ship but the lack of cloak makes you an easy first target for the feds. Perhaps I should stay back and let the bops and raptors engage before I attack?
Another issue I have is the lance / disruptor special weapon (forgot its name!).. Its not great and I've heard you can buff it with disruptor consoles and stats. Right now I'm using polaron weapons, just becasue Id had aniporoton on another ship and wanted to try them out. Has anyone tried buffing disruptors to see what kind of difference it makes to teh lance? I have enough emblems and mats now to get all mk XI gear so I'm wondering if its worth switching to disruptors. If you cant increase the power of the laser much I might just stick with Polaron.
For weapons I have 3 x polaron cannons up front with a quantum torp and 3 x polaron turrets at the back.
I'd appreciate comments on the above and also other general tips for flying the seige destroyer.
I use this weapons setup for the Siege Destroyer in PvE, for weapons, it works out really great.---
2 Disrupter turrets, highest level available, and 1 photon torpedo (also highest level possible)
Same on the rear weapsons. NOW, you could forgo the torpedoes, and just make it one
small ball of disruptor firepower.
On tactical consoles I use disruptors and cannons.
In the tactical slot I use rapid cannon fire, can't remember if it's "II" or "III", but when you
have 4 turrets throwin out 360 degrees of rapid fire disruptor damage it's really
something awesome to see, PLUS, it can take down Borg sphere's in a less than a minute
or two.
I personally wouldn't take the ship into PvP because the ship's shields will crack like a
pinata with some seasoned hardcore PvP'ers taking a crack at her with all of their collected
firepower aimed at it. NAH, that's a nightmare waiting to happen.
IF you are with a fleet and they run FED vs KDF PVP that's that place where you can
test out all kinds of weapons and tactics.
Thanks for the advice, I think I will repec with disruptors. I think I will have 3 heave cannons up front though as they do a lot of damage!
You were right about PVP but since the patch I find I stay alive longer and do more damage. I just let my team mates engage the feds first then line up seige mode, cannon rapid fire, etc...
Has anyone else found their Seige Destroyer to be more effective in PVP since the patch?

I didn't have a stop watch on while I take down sphere's, and didn't want to exaggerate,
so if I had to nail down the time for siege destroyer to take down 2-3 sphere's in a group,
less than but maybe up to a minute...that's 2-3, 3 sphere's max.
Spheres do not group... you're thinking probes... which makes the time worse...
lol, i rly hope he's not, or he is just aweful. with scatter volly a probe squad melts in 10-20 seconds (and that was back b4 i had mk xii or purple gear)
Just thought I'd post an upate as I'm still determined to make the seige destroyer work for PVP. On paper it should do as much damage as a bop or raptor but often isn't the case. I now have Mk XI antiproton weapons all round and I'm saving emblems for disruptors to see what happens when i max out disruptors for the lance.
With antiprotons it seems much better than the polarons i was using and does about as much damage as a fed t5 escort but still i feel i could do anohter 100k damage in a bop!
having said that, making the seige destroyer better is interesting in its own way, i mean, i can buy a bop and finish top of the table any time, but where's the fun in that?
cloaking is an issue obviously but scramble senseors (or is it jam?) helps escape so that i can quickly do a 180 and return fire with cannons.
I still cant help but think that with the extra weapon damage that seige mode gives it shoud,be possible to out gun a bop or raptor... anyone got any ideas why it doesnt?
I'm hopig that when i have disruptors i will finally see the true damage of the lance... I'll let you know
