Yes they are on the same timer, but your second team will come off cooldown like 15 seconds before the first team. Thats what PvPers currently use for survival, and Escorts rotate 2. It's almost having RSP up all the time without the shield regen.

A note on tac team. I am used to spamming distribute shields. Kinda like fire all energy weapons. But I would suggest you not do this while running tac team. You cancel out what the power is doing, which is bringing all of your shield power to the facing recieving damage. And azurian is 100% on the money with running 2 tac team 1's. I've done so for as long as I can remember.

Running two tac teams is a life saver.

I've asked about this before, and was told that distribute shields did not interfere - which was not what I thought I was seeing. Thanks for the confirmation, I'm going to change my keybinds.

It do, and it dont..

It depends on your shield really

EG:

If you take fire on your frontal shield, and have full shield in the other arcs, distribute will help bringing power to front. (This happens a lot on my Borg shielded 125 shieldpower Cruisers)

If you have *less* in the other arcs. TT will bring power to front, while distribute tries to balance the arcs. (This happens a lot on my escorts when fighting shieldstrippers)

What? people still spam/chain RSP?

I discontinued use of RSP III on my cruisers..due to being able to survive without it. That, and I like to be able to fight back, rather than be a sponge..but thats just me
