I thinl i read somewhere you are adding new tier 5 ships soon, as most or the tier 5 escort refits are somewhat, Boring, was curous if this would be a possible candidate for a new tier 5 refit escort

That looks interesting, but most likely any refit escort will be the Akira.

I like this - it looks like a Peregrine style Defiant, heh. But I hadn't heard any new ship skins yet!

Yeah, I don't see any reason for it to be a new ship. It looks like it would work just fine as a new skin for the Defiant. And it would mix well with some of the other alternate parts as well.

I wonder of the devs have read this.

The Valiant design has always been my favorite. I was truly astonished that they moved on from this concept to the Defiant for the show. The Gallant variant was a step back in the right direction for me, but this ship skin would be awesome. I would be forever grateful to Cryptic if this were added.

I'm not sure what other escorts Starfleet needs, what with there being the Defiant R, Prometheus and it's MVAM twin, and the Fleet Escort. There's pure tactical, tactical with a hint of science, and tactical with a hint of engineering. What gap needs filling? If they do find a gap, real or imagined, I'm almost certain they'll get some more mileage out of the Akira before adding this.

Though evaluating this purely on the merit of it's looks, all I can say is "hell yeah".

to be honest every t5 class could use a little love in this area, but it's really not something that should be prioritized.

I'd much prefer to see the designers time put into the new Weeklies and Klingon side missions.

I see this as an alt skin for the defiants. Has the same basic layout and would fit in the customizer for those variants.
