# 1 Cryptic Online Security
06-15-2011, 08:34 PM
This year has sucked for millions of people online. With the PSN being hacked and just recently the CIA public website.

I just hope Cryptic has all our stuff tightly locked away and has pretty adequate security online to protect us.

I still love my PS3 and Sony, but I won't be putting my credit card back on the PSN, I'll be buying the cards at GameStop from now on.

I'm just paranoid now. Hope my fears aren't justified. You never know when some lunatic might want to crash WOW or STO... (I don't play WOW)

Hopefully, the devs have good security.

Right now:
  • Epic
  • Codemasters
  • Sony
  • Bethesda/ID/Zenimax
  • Nintendo

are most of the websites either hacked or DDoSed (the latter only takes a site offline).

doesn't matter the security really. If someone really wants something, they will get it eventually

Was it confirmed that EVE only suffered a DDoS?
