Armada? Na..... All the Ships from the Federation, including the ships they would hold back in defense of the home worlds, the vulcans own ships, freighters as transport bombs, suicide fighters, wildweasels, scatterpack shuttles, etc etc etc.

My main has completed it at least twice. Back when there were people actually joining CE.

It's not so hard if you know what you are doing, but it is most certainly NOT solo-able I had a good ROFL over that!

This has got to be THE most messed up mission in all of STO.

It's been borked and reborked...they just couldn't get it right.

Was a great idea...just implemented poorly....

I've successfully completed CE twice...2 different characters.. Sural...did it the old way....Had a Captain use Ramming Speed before that was nerfed.....Mey...got lucky...Popped into an instance and within a few seconds...the group that was in there completed it. Also before the Ramming Speed nerf.....

Neither of my wins were using ramming speed, and both were from instance start.

Honestly, it isn't hard to beat at all. The biggest problem with it are the other players.

Indeed.

But I'd say anyone that actually organizes a PuG to beat this beast - especially now, where tricks like Scramble Sensors no longer work - should seriously consider following a career requiring leadership skills. Or become a cat herder. (But anyone managing that probably already does the latter as a hobby.)

Now, they only used FAW to beat it so we could claim we did atleast once. Won't do it again.
Fire At Will and Cannon Scatter Volley were both used, IIRC and we are talking about the same instance. The goal was to cover everything with weapons fire so that under no circumstances any shares could get through.

I am not sure, but I seem to remember only one event where we actually took it down. People stayed for longer and there was a goal to let everyone get first place at one time, but I think the magic had worn off by then, and the people leaving either weren't replaced at all, or by people not following the rules.

Suicide Fighters unfortunately mean automatic failure.

My fleet is taking this thing on sunday.
The broad plan:
Enough sustained fire for the tipping point, meaning higher damage then it's regen rate.
The rest of the DPS goes to decimating fragments and then wear down the entity over time.

What I need to know is the exact regen rate.
Does anybody out there have numbers?
How many hitpoints does it regenerate in 1 second?

I could get some of my fleet-mates to join for fun probably, if not just me. I can bring a VA Eng or Tac. PM me if interested.

Look this fleet action is just not worth the time this has been a topic for years since Beta testing you need at least 20 ships flying circles around it firing beams and about 5 escorts doing shard clean up that to get it to 3% that took 3 hours on a Sunday. in fact it glitched and popped then came back at 15% of course people started to leave and once that happened 4 large shards healed it back to 40% then 60% because a ship got Nerf by 8 large shards.

Avoid unless you want a large headache you just can't get that many ship to work together as a team.

6 Escorts can't do it that a magic dragon moment.

Thanks
