Really a spam fight again. Fact feds spam, spam a hell of a lot more then KDF, bazillion mines to a handful of deployables from carriers. Carriers for the most part are very easy to kill. Carrier spam is also easy to kill, 1 CSV or one FaW, or one GW, or one EWP, or one Tykens or one Torp Spread, or one Peng, or one Tric, and I am sure I have missed a couple. Ever since they nerfed carriers the abundance of spam has come from the Feddies.
what carriers, kdf crusiers, escorts, bops etc can't also carry mines should they choose? in addition can they not also carry fighters just as feds do? so then if every ship stacked as much spam as they can and you have carriers on the kdf as well the kdf win the spam war, otherwise it will be a draw unless it is vs a gal x or a mv ship or the silly pets from kdf cruisers. So if kdf spam is so easy to kill with the above skills Fed spam should be even easier right.
spam is not faction specific it is merely a player choice to use it or not, given the huge number of players on the fed side over the kdf side the odds are you will bump into a spammer, however that doesn't mean feds are capable of more spam or the kdf less capable.

The problem isnt so much the mines/pets as the lack of counters.. Now that FAW is borked Ive respecced my cruisers to cannons, and while my Excelsiors cannons can clear spam relatively easily, the flaw of csv becomes appearent when you run into.. say TSI with 30-40+ chronitons floating around at any given time.. Sure, they work as intended, but when the primary skill for clearing spam isnt used by any decent PvPer, you have an issue, without any reliable counter.. Thus, by virtue of FAW being broken, spam could easily be considered a cheap/cheesy tactic..

TBR is my preference w/2 one ship can clear most of the low hp spam as well as play havoc w/the other side's positioning. If there a couple of agile ships which have the option of running TBR than there isn't much to worry about if they're spec'd/equipped to do damage w/it. It's also a nice range mitigation to cannon's dps when surrounded. Captain's could even practice pushing the higher hp spam into a GW (I've done this more w/PvE and the Kitomer Accords' STF probe/sphere section). My 2 cents anyway.
Who can squeeze out the most pets?
That would be the Klingons?
The only Federation that can get the most Pets is the MVA Escort and that can give you a maximum amount of 10 pets, 2 from the ships separation, 3 photonic ship if you’re a Sci Captain using Photonic Fleet, and 5 scorpion fighters. Unlike the Klingon pets once you destroy one of the MVA ships, that’s it, we don’t get another one.
The Klingon side the ship that can dish out the most pets is the Vo'Quv carrier
This ship can dish out a total of 25 pets, that a whopping 150% more pets then the said ship mentioned above. That would be 18 fighters, 3 photonic ships if you’re a Sci Captain using photonic Fleet, and 5 scorpion fighters.
Unlike the MVA Escort your pets never stop coming, you can summon more fighters after a short period of time.
I think there should be a better balance than this.
That being said, I would like to get a front row seat in that one on one PVP. The screen shot alone would be priceless, or maybe 5 on 5, talk about outrageous that would be a total of 125 pets on the Klingon side and 50 pets on the Fed side. WOW what a battle that would be.
