if you are scrambled, wouldn't the aoe also damage enemies? They show as friendly to you.

It was abroad blanket statement about the PvP and the factions (fleets) with in it. It was not meant to be directed at anyone in particular and not a direct response to you.

Hah, I used the Hargh'Peng for the first time today! That already made someone angry.

Not sure I'll get the Hargh'Peng on any other toon. Flying that mission at VA is incredibly tedious, fighting VA enemy fighters with Mark II weapons. Grr...

Yeah except EM misfires when SS.

Causes my Escort so many deaths,

though sometimes the EPTe and a well timed Omega can get me away from the cruiser faw fest before I die.

Thats old Peng pre fix.... now its your friends around you that get hit with the added explosions after the first one... you are going to take the first hit no matter what if you can't clear... if the other guys where dumb enough to scramble you great get close to as many of them as you can so they get hit as well.

Seriously, the peng is dumb the radiation and explosions will never kill anyone unless they really have brace for impact / hazards / polarized hull (the SubSpace Modulator will also negate the hull dmg) on cool down and they are saddled with a really good Sensor scan or Beta 3 or something. It has a nice initial dmg number and the speed makes it a bit easier to land... however with almost half the cool down 90% of the dmg and a hy version Quantums are still the better option.

I think the rationale behind making them what they are is to provide an alternative to Quantums... so they do that, in a way.

Personally, I love their mega high flight speed. But I'll still take a HY 1 Quantum over a Peng any day.

But if you don't have HYT1, the Pengs are nice.
